      <p class="para_topic">The main menu options are global in that they can be used with existing operations and groups. The icons in the tool bar are shortcuts to many of the functions found in the main menu. The main menu options may be different based on the role you are using. If you see an option here that is not displayed on your menu, choose the <b class="uiTerm">Essentials With Full Menus</b> role, choose an advanced role, or  choose <b class="uiTerm">Tools</b> &rarr; <b class="uiTerm">Customize</b> to add it to a toolbar.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Tools&gt;Operation Navigator</div>
      <p class="para_division">Most of the sub-options found under Operation Navigator can also be accessed by choosing objects in the Operation Navigator and using the third mouse button (MB3). Refer to <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('mfggeneral/ont_mb3_options.html');return(false);">Third Mouse Button (MB3) Options</a> for descriptions of these options. The sub-options unique to Operation Navigator are described below.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Rename</div>
      <p class="para_division">Rename allows you to change the name of operations, one operation at a time. After you select an operation and choose Rename you are prompted to enter the new name. Enter the new name at the nodes position in the tree directory.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Delete Setup</div>
      <p class="para_division">This option allows you to remove the current configuration file and setup data associated with the part. In doing so, all operations and groups are deleted from the part. It essentially enables you to &quot;start over&quot; as though the part were first being brought into the Manufacturing module. The Machining Environment dialog box is displayed allowing you to choose a new Application Package (.cfg file) and a new Setup.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Find</div>
      <p class="para_division">This option allows you to search the objects listed in the Operation Navigator. This can be useful in locating an object when there are many objects in the Operation Navigator. In the Find Object dialog box, either key in the entire name of the desired object (it is case sensitive) or key in part of the name followed by an asterisk (8). When found, the object highlights. Choose OK to dismiss the dialog.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The Highlight option in the Operation Navigator Preferences dialog box allows you to specify the color in which the objects highlight when using Find.</p>
      <div class="title_division"> Create Filter</div>
      <p class="para_division">This option displays the Operation Filter dialog which allows you to specify the filtering criteria to be used to display only a subset of all operations contained in the current part in the Operation Navigator. Create Filter is used in conjunction with the Apply Filter option. Create Filter is used to define the filter while Apply Filter turns the filter mechanism on or off. The following options allow you to specify the filtering criteria.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Type</div>
      <p class="para_division">Type allows you to display only operations of a particular type.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Choose the type of operation that you wish to display in the list. The list will only contain the operation types used in the current part file. Choose All to display all types. All is the default.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Edit Status</div>
      <p class="para_division">Edit Status allows you to display operations depending on the edited status of the tool path.</p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">By Name</div>
      <p class="para_division">By Name allows you to enter an entire name to locate a particular operation, or enter a partial name with wild cards &quot;*&quot; to list only those operations beginning with those characters.</p>
      <div class="title_division">By Tool</div>
      <p class="para_division">By Tool allows you to list only the names of operations containing a particular tool. You can enter an entire tool name to list all operations containing that tool, or enter a partial tool name with wild cards to list only those operations containing a tool that begins with those characters.</p>
      <div class="title_division">By Release</div>
      <p class="para_division">By Release allows you to list operations based on the release version, date, and time in which they were generated. Only operations generated in V14.0 or later can use this filter. Operations generated prior to V14.0 do not contain the appropriate attributed information and will not appear in the listing when filtered by release. MB3, Object&rarr; Information displays the release, date, and time the highlighted operations were generated in the following format:</p>
      <p class="para_division">v14.0.1.6 8/25/97 12:23:00</p>
      <p class="para_division">To use this option, toggle By Release to the ON position and key in the listing parameters using the same format as that displayed under Information. An asterisk may be used as a wildcard. For example, if you wish to list all operations generated in V14 including all IRM's and QRM's, you would key in:</p>
      <p class="para_division">v14.0.*</p>
      <div class="title_division">Apply Filter</div>
      <p class="para_division">Apply Filter allows you to limit the operation names that are displayed in the Operation Navigator. You can, for instance, list all edited operations that do not have tool paths.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When toggled OFF, Apply Filter allows you to list all operations. When toggled ON, Apply Filter allows you to list just the filtered operations that were specified using the Create Filter option described above.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Output&gt;CLSF</div>
      <p class="para_division">After an operation is generated and saved, the resulting tool path is stored as part of the operation within the part file. CLSF provides methods to copy these internal paths from the operations in the part file to tool paths within the CLSF, which is a text file. The GOTO values are a &quot;snapshot&quot; of the current tool path. The values exported are referenced from the MCS stored in the operation. The CLS file is the required input for some subsequent programs, such as postprocessors.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Output&gt; Post Postprocess</div>
      <ol type="1" start="1">

            <p class="para_item">In the Operation Navigator, choose the operations you want to postprocess or choose the root in the Program Order View to postprocess all operations. The operations must contain toolpaths (indicated by a ! symbol).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose the Post Postprocess icon in the main menu bar. This displays the Post Process dialog box.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose the desired machine, using the browse button if the desired machine is not listed. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify an output file, and click OK.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The system creates an NC program for the specified controller:</p>
         </li>
      </ol>

      <div class="title_division">View</div>
      <div class="title_division">Program Order View</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Program Order view shows which Program group each operation belongs to and the order in which operations will be executed on the machine tool. This is the only view in which the order of the listed operations is relevant or important. Selecting this option displays the Program Order View in the Operation Navigator.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Machining Method View</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Machine Method view allows you to organize the operations under common machining applications which share the same parameter values (rough, finish, semi finish). Selecting this option displays the Machining Method View in the Operation Navigator. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Geometry View</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Geometry view shows the machining geometry and MCS each operation will use. Selecting this option displays the Geometry View in the Operation Navigator. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Machine Tool View</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Machine Tool view organizes operations by cutting tools. It can also organize cutting tools by turrets on a lathe or by tool type on a mill, for example. Selecting this option displays the Machine Tool View in the Operation Navigator. </p>
