      <p class="para_topic">The Engage/Retract option allows you to define or cancel vectors and distances which define Engage and Retract motions immediately before and after the Point to Point tool path. Set the Engage and Retract vectors so that the Engage vector points toward the part surface and the Retract vector points away from the part surface.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Engage</div>
      <p class="para_division">Engage allows you to define the angle, speed, and length of tool motion for the approach to the first CL-point of the tool path when you do not want the tool to approach the part along the Machine Coordinate System (MCS) Z axis.</p>

      <p class="para_division">The Point to Point motion to the first operational clearance point varies depending on whether the Engage Vector is active or inactive.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The tool positions to the start of the Engage vector and then moves along the Engage vector at the Engage feed rate to the first operational clearance point. (Note: The sequence of moves to the start of the Engage vector usually depends upon the status of the Clearance Plane, Start Point and Approach feed rates.)</p>
      <p class="para_division">If the Engage feed rate is zero, the system uses the Rapid feed rate (this differs from the Mill module, in which the Cut feed rate is used.)</p>
      <p class="para_division">For the standard cycles (those which generate a CYCLE/ statement), if the Engage is along the tool axis and the Engage feed rate is zero, the system does not generate an Engage motion since this rapid positioning move is assumed to be part of the standard cycle sequence executed by the machine tool controller (or postprocessor).</p>
      <p class="para_division">If neither Cycle nor Bottom Surface is active, the tool positions at the Cut feed rate to the first operational clearance point.</p>
      <p class="para_division">If either Cycle or Bottom Surface is active, the tool positions at the Rapid feed rate to the first operational clearance point.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Retract</div>
      <p class="para_division">Retract allows you to define the angle and distance of motion when the tool leaves the last cut of the tool path.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Choose the desired method of defining the Retract vector. None indicates that you do not desire a Retract move. None also cancels an existing Retract specification.</p>
      <p class="para_division">For Point to Point, retract distance is measured from the last operational clearance point, or from the last cycle RTRCTO point if a standard cycle with RTRCTO is active.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The Retract motion is executed at the Retract feed rate (or Rapid feed rate if the Retract feed rate is zero).</p>
      <p class="para_division">The sequence of moves following the Retract motion depends upon the status of the Clearance Plane, Return Point and Gohome Point.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Set To None</div>
      <p class="para_division">Set To None allows you to set the current Engage and Retract status to &quot;None&quot;.</p>
