      </table><br><p class="para_topic">As was shown in the section on Trim Angles, the system will cut towards or away from Trim Points at a particular angle. Your geometry may be such that this tool path (shown in blue below) would cause a collision with the part as follows:</p>

      <p class="para_topic">If this is the case, the system should check that the tool path does not collide with the part boundary. To do this, activate the Check Part Geometry option. This option allows you to determine&nbsp; the system's cutting behavior on the &quot;guiding line&quot; that leads the tool towards a trim point or away from a trim point on the part boundary, depending on the direction of the cutting. If the option is inactive, the system will strictly continue to follow the &quot;guiding line&quot; and ignore the part boundary once the tool has passed beyond the trim point in question. This could lead to part gouges, as shown above. If the Check Part Geometry option is active, the system will respect the part boundary in those places where the &quot;guiding line&quot; intersects the part boundary. In this way, it lets you control the shape of the cut region beyond the trim points.&nbsp;The resulting tool path (shown in blue below) would be as follows:</p>
