      <p class="para_topic">Geometry Type allows you to specify the type of geometry that boundaries will represent in Planar and Cavity Milling operations.</p>

      <p class="para_division">Part allows you specify geometry that will represent the finished Part. Refer to Planar and Cavity Milling for a discussion of Part Geometry.</p>

      <div class="title_figure">Part Boundaries</div>
      <div class="title_division">Blank</div>
      <p class="para_division">Blank allows you specify geometry that will represent the raw material you wish to cut away. A Blank boundary does not represent the final part and can be cut through or engaged into directly. Refer to Planar and Cavity Milling for a discussion of Blank Geometry.</p>

      <div class="title_figure">Cut Depths Defined at Floor and Island Tops</div>
      <div class="title_division">Check</div>
      <p class="para_division">Check enables you to define geometry you do not wish to violate such as clamps that hold the part. The areas where the Check Geometry overlaps the volume of material to be removed will not be cut. In Planar Milling, Check Geometry can be defined by boundaries. In Cavity Milling, Check Geometry can be defined by faces, curves, bodies, and boundaries. You may specify a Check Stock value (Cutting&gt;Check Stock) which defines the distance the tool will be positioned from the Check Geometry. A Tanto tool position is applied to Check Boundaries.</p>

      <div class="title_figure">Check Boundary</div>
      <p class="para_division">When the tool encounters Check Geometry, it will either cut around the Check geometry (as illustrated above) or it will retract depending on the status of Follow Check in the Cut Parameters dialog box.</p>
      <p class="para_division">To create Boundary Geometry, set the Geometry Type to Check. You may then select the boundary geometry and designate the portion of the region to retain by specifying the Material Retained (Inside/Outside for Closed). Check boundaries can be defined in Planar and Cavity Mill operations using faces, curves, edges, points, and permanent boundaries.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Trim</div>
      <p class="para_division">Trim allows you to specify boundaries that will further constrain the cut regions at each cut level. You may define the area of the cut region to exclude from the operation by specifying the Side Trimmed as Inside or Outside for Closed boundaries, or Left or Right for Open boundaries.</p>

      <p class="para_division">Trim boundaries can be defined in Planar and Cavity Milling operations using faces, curves, edges, points, and permanent boundaries. You may specify a Trim Stock value (Cutting&gt;Trim Stock) as illustrated below to define the distance the tool will be positioned from the Trim Geometry.</p>

      <p class="para_division">A Tanto tool position is always applied to Trim Boundaries. You do not have the option of specifying a Tanto condition.</p>
