      <p class="para_topic">Material Side allows you to control which side of the part surface is to be machined. Define the Material Side Indicator using one of the Vector Subfunction methods listed below so that it tilts toward the side of the surface to be machined at the first contact point.</p>

         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Two Points</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Tangent To Curve</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">I, J, K Components</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Spherical Coordinates</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">Refer to the Subfunctions chapter of the NX Essentials manual for details on the Vector Subfunction.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The default value (0,0,1) is normally acceptable. However, when the first contact point lies on a vertical portion of the part surface, you may need to assist the system in determining which side of the surface is to be machined.</p>
