      <p class="para_topic">Use Maximum Concavity to help you determine which sharp corners and deep valleys will be cut. &nbsp;For example, if you are machining the part represented in the figure below, there might be no material remaining in the160 degree valley after the first few operations. &nbsp;This is because it is shallow and flat. &nbsp;However, you are unable to machine all the material in the next two valleys, 110 and 70 degrees, respectively. &nbsp;More material is left in sharp corners and deep valleys like these. &nbsp;</p>
      <p class="para_topic">When you return to machine the deep valleys missed by earlier passes, it is more efficient to machine just these deep valleys, and skip over the shallow valleys already machined in earlier passes. &nbsp;You can do this with Maximum Concavity by indicating which angles to ignore. &nbsp;In the figure below, setting the Maximum Concavity angle to 120 degrees, for example, would machine the 110 and 70 degree valleys, but not the 160 degree valley. </p>

      <p class="para_topic">In the figure below, the Maximum Concavity is set to 179 degrees. All angles less than or equal to 179 degrees are machined, in effect, cutting all valleys.</p>
