      <p class="para_topic">Avoidance Geometry allows you to specify, activate (or cancel) geometry that is used for non-cutting moves before or after a tool path. You can save and later retrieve the Avoidance Geometry settings.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">When you choose Avoidance Geometry, the options available depend upon whether you are developing a Drill (Point to Point), Feature Based Machining (Holemaking) or Turning (Lathe) tool path.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">Tool axis functionality varies and is included with the appropriate avoidance geometry option description.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Avoidance geometry sub options</div>
      <p class="para_division">Many of the Avoidance Geometry options listed above prompt you with the following suboptions:</p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Specify</b></p>
            </td>

               <p class="para_td">Allows you to choose a method of defining an associative or nonassociative point using the Point Constructor Subfunction. The Avoidance Geometry symbol appears on the display screen at the specified location and remains displayed until the screen is refreshed. After you use Specify, the system redisplays showing the status as ACTIVE.</p>

The system redisplays showing the status as INACTIVE. If you choose Omit before you specify an Avoidance Geometry option, the system displays an error message.</p>
