      </table><br><p class="para_topic">If you chose to have the local return triggered by distance or time, the system can automatically try to adjust these moves so that the local return does not take place within a cutting pass, but rather at the end of it.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Adjust when the system triggers the local return move as follows:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the Local Return dialog, check the Distance or Time option to activate automatic local return features. The Distance option keeps track of the amount of distance the tool has travelled since the last local return. The Time option keeps track of the cumulative time the tool has travelled since the last local return.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter either a distance (measured in the unit of the part) or a time value (in seconds).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select Adjustment.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the type of adjustment as follows:  </p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b>Range&nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;</b>Specifies a range around the time or distance specified in step 2 within which the system triggers a local return move. As soon as the tool moves into the range, it begins searching for the best possible spot to make a local return. If there are several of these within the range, the system selects that point that is closest to the elapsed distance or time value that you entered in Step 2. If the system finds no retract move within the range, it will trigger a local return at the point where the given distance or time value has elapsed.
                  </p>

               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b>Alignment&nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;</b>Attempts to align the local returns with the original retracts from the roughing or finishing passes as much as possible. 
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ul>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_topic">After each of these types of adjustment, the system resets its internal time/distance counter and begins to count up to the value set in Step 2 again.</p>
