      </table><br><p class="para_topic">The Tool Holder options are located on the Holder tab of the tool dialog. Activate these options by selecting the Use Turn Holder option. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The following is an overview of the options. </p>

               <p class="para_td">These images represent tool holders you can create. Use the parameter abbreviations to assist you in entering the required parameters below. The diagram on the left half of the standard turning tool image shows the cutting edge angle that conforms to the style standard. &nbsp;The dimensions that apply to the holder size and shape are on the right .</p>

               <p class="para_td">Style</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Select from a list of ANSI/ISO standard holder styles for standard turning tools. There are no styles available for grooving tools. With these, you simply design the holder by specifying the parameters. The insert type you select determines the available holder styles. </p>

               <p class="para_td">Hand</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Depending on which style you select, you can choose a right-hand, left-hand or neutral tool. For grooving, you must select whether the holder is at a 0 or 90 angle.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Shank Type</p>

            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Select whether you want to use a round or square holder type.</p>

               <p class="para_td">(HA) Holder Angle</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Specify the angle of the holder relative to the XC-axis of the WCS.</p>
            </td>

               <p class="para_td">(L) Length</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Specify the length of the holder from the tangent position on the tool nose radius to the opposite end of the holder. </p>

               <p class="para_td">(W) Width</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Specify the width of the holder. The width parameter varies depending on whether you choose a round or a square shank holder:</p>

                     <p class="para_item">&nbsp;The width of a square shank holder is the distance from the tangent position on the tool nose radius to the locating side of the holder. The width of a round shank holder is the distance from the tangent position on the tool nose radius to the centerline of the holder shank.</p>

               <p class="para_td">(SW) Shank Width</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Specify the width of the shank. This is measured from one side of the shank to the other.</p>

               <p class="para_td">(SL) Shank Line</p>

            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Describe the dimension from the tangent position on the tool nose radius to the break line between the tool head and the shank.</p>

               <p class="para_td">(IE) Insert Extension</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Specify the amount by which the insert protrudes from the holder.</p>

            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">X Mount, Y Mount</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1">
               <p class="para_td">Position the tool relative to the turret/head for machine simulation. &nbsp;These values are the signed distances from the tool tracking point to the turret/head reference point.</p>
