      <div class="title_division">Overview</div>
      <p class="para_division">A Trim Vector is a measurement point that lies on the trimmed edge of a sheet body, or the trimmed face of a solid body for the face in consideration.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Accessing</div>
      <p class="para_division">To access the Trim Vector dialog in the Insert mode, do one of the following:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the MPAW toolbar, choose the Trim Vector icon  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/mpt_trim_icon.gif" border="0">.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the menu bar, choose&nbsp;Tools-&rarr;Process Aid-&rarr;Trim Vector.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division">&nbsp;The Trim Vector dialog appears.</p>

This works in coordination with Edge Parameter, and displays the value as and when you scroll the Edge Parameter scale. This field appears sensitive only for faces from sheet bodies and appears grayed out if the selected face belongs to a solid body.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Using these scales you can set the normalized U and V parameters for the face on which the trim vector will reside. This scale is sensitive only for faces from solid bodies and appears grayed out if the selected face belongs to a sheet body.</p>

Turn this toggle ON to create measurement vectors independent of geometry.You can now create a measurement vector by specifying the point coordinates and vector direction.</p>

This button is sensitive in the Insert mode only when at least one measurement vector already exists in the part, and is always sensitive in the Edit mode. Using the Specify Relationship dialog you can select multiple measurement vectors and specify the relationship type from the option menu. You can choose from three types of relationships:</p>
               <p class="para_td"><img align="bottom" src="graphics/dlf_flush.gif" border="0"> Maintains a flush relationship among vectors. MPAW makes no attempt to verify the flush condition. 
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/dlf_gap.gif" border="0"> Maintains a gap relationship among vectors. MPAW makes no attempt to verify the gap condition.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/dlf_ns.gif" border="0"> Maintains a non-specific relationship.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">You can break the relationship by choosing  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/dlf_nr.gif" border="0">.
               </p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">Inserting</div>
      <p class="para_division">To insert a&nbsp;Trim Vector:</p>
      <p class="para_division">When the Trim Vector dialog appears, you are cued to select a face. All the buttons on the Trim Vector dialog, except  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/mpt_trim_canc.gif" border="0"> and the Face selection icon  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/mpt_trim_face.gif" border="0">, initially appear grayed out.
      </p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select a face. Once a face is selected, the selection automatically moves to edge selection. You are cued to select an edge. You can select only those edges that belong to the selected face. Once you select an edge, a dummy vector is displayed at the mid point of</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">selected edge in case of sheet body</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">trimming face, i.e. the face adjacent to the selected face-edge combination, in case of solid body.</p>
               </li>
            </ul>
            <p class="para_item">Now, depending upon the geometry selected (sheet or solid), items on the dialog appear sensitive. You are cued to use dialog options or choose  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ok.gif" border="0"> or  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/apply.gif" border="0"> to create the trim vector.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the Trim Vector dialog, the&nbsp;Name field now appears enabled. Enter a name for the trim vector. You can enter a maximum of 20 characters.</p>

            <p class="para_item">If required, choose  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/mpt_trim_flip.gif" border="0"> to reverse the direction of the vector. This step is optional, and available only for sheet bodies.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If required, choose  <img align="bottom" src="graphics/mpt_trim_ch.gif" border="0">. The Datum Characteristics dialog appears. Modify characteristics as required, and choose&nbsp;OK or&nbsp;Apply. You are returned to the Trim Vector dialog.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the Trim Vector dialog, choose&nbsp;OK or&nbsp;Apply to create the vector.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division">The trim vector is inserted.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Choosing&nbsp;OK creates the vector and closes the dialog. Clicking&nbsp;Apply performs the same function as choosing&nbsp;OK, but clears all inputs, and keeps the dialog on the screen for you to select geometry for the next trim vector. Clicking&nbsp;Cancel closes the dialog without retaining any inputs.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Editing</div>
      <p class="para_division">To edit the Trim Vector:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the menu bar, choose&nbsp;Edit-&rarr;Feature-&rarr;Parameters. The Edit Parameters dialog appears. Select the trim vector you want to edit.</p>
            <p class="para_item">OR</p>
            <p class="para_item">Click the Model Navigator icon on the standard NX toolbar. The Model Navigator dialog appears. On the Model Navigator dialog, select the trim vector you want to edit.</p>
            <p class="para_item">The Trim Vector dialog appears. The dialog displays the values specified while creating the trim vector.</p>
