            <p class="para_item">In the Modeling application, choose <b class="uiTerm">Tools</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Automotive Applications</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Die Design</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Trim/Flange Die Assistant</b> to open the <b class="uiTerm">Trim/Flange Die Assistant</b> dialog box. <b class="uiTerm">Select Sheet Body</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/vehicle_automation/common/sheet_metal.gif" border="0"> is active.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the sheet body that represents the untrimmed sheet metal.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the thickness of the sheet metal in the <b class="uiTerm">Thickness</b> box.
            </p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Upper Base</b> group, click <b class="uiTerm">Plane Constructor</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/modeling/common/plane_method.gif" border="0"> to create a plane that indicates the position and orientation of the upper base, or select a plane method from the available plane method list.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">Repeat the process in the <b class="uiTerm">Lower Base</b> group.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Lower Post Flange Profile</b> group, click <b class="uiTerm">Select Curve</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/modeling/common/select_curve.gif" border="0"> and in the graphics window, select a curve that represents the lower post flange profile and click the <b class="uiTerm">Auto Generate</b> button to generate the lower post flange profile.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Trim Steel Profiles</b> group: 
            </p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Select Curve</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/vehicle_automation/trim_flange_die_assistant/curve.gif" border="0"> to select the curve representing the trim profile.
                  </p>

                  <p class="para_item">Specify the trim direction using the vector options.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Click the <b class="uiTerm">Define Trim Steel Bases</b> button to define the bases of the trim steels for each trim profile.

            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Pierce Locations</b> group, click <b class="uiTerm">Select Points</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/toolbars/vehicle_automation/die_engineering/pierce_task.gif" border="0"> and select the pierce locations.

            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Flange Steel Profiles</b> group:
            </p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Select Curve</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/vehicle_automation/trim_flange_die_assistant/flange_profile.gif" border="0"> and select the curve representing the flange profile.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Select End of Flange</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/vehicle_automation/trim_flange_die_assistant/curve.gif" border="0"> and select the end of the flange profile.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Specify the flange direction using the vector options.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Select the flange type from the <b class="uiTerm">Flange Type</b> list.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Click the <b class="uiTerm">Define Flange Bases</b> button to define the bases of the flange steels for each flange profile.
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ul>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Under <b class="uiTerm">Settings</b>, set the required parameters for the components.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> to create the die components. 
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">The features are created in the current work part, if a part attribute does not exist in a part file in the current subassembly structure. If this attribute exists, the features are created in the part file, with the title specified by the <b class="uiTerm">Creation Part Attribute Title/Reference Set Name</b> customer default for the respective die component. If a reference set exists in the part file with the specified name, then the output solid of the feature is added to that reference set.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">If the <b class="uiTerm">Create Component</b> customer default is selected, then a new part file is created and added to the work part or the part file found as a component, and each trim steel or flange steel is created in this new part file. 
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">The name of the new part file is the parent part file name with a suffix of an underscore and an incremented number (_1, _2, _3 &hellip;). The next unused number is used, filling in available gaps, based on names already in the assembly. If a file in the current subassembly has a part attribute title specified by <b class="uiTerm">Start Part Attribute Title</b>, then input data is linked from the part file it is in, first to this part file, and then to the final file.
            </p>
         </li>
