      </table><br><p class="para_topic"><img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/toolbars/vehicle_automation/die_engineering/quick_binder_wrap.gif" border="0"> Use <b class="uiTerm">Quick Binder Wrap</b> to create simple developable surfaces, such as a plane, a cylinder, or a cone on the product sheet during the initial stages of the die layout. You can also perform dynamic editing on the binder surface, such as rotation, translation, extend, trim, and change of curvature, while retaining its developable character. You must first create the binder wrap and then edit it to get the specifications you want. You can also edit the binder wrap when it is in the preview stage.

      <p class="para_topic">The following graphic shows a bounded conical binder surface best fitting the outer panel of an automobile door.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">After the die closes and before the punch comes down to deform the binder wrap into the required shape, the shape of the binder wrap should be &lsquo;developable&rsquo;, so that the deformation of the sheet metal from flat to the shape it takes by just closing the die is free of tearing or wrinkling. </p>
