You can enter them from either the <b class="uiTerm">Steel Inserts</b> dialog or from the <b class="uiTerm">Steel Insert Segments</b> dialog by clicking the <img align="bottom" src="graphics/steel_ins_params_ico.gif" border="0">(<b class="uiTerm">Contact Section Parameters</b>) icon. The options available depend on the type of insert you selected.

                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Max. Dist + Constant</b> &ndash; evaluates the distance from the flange profile to the end of the flange profile and finds the maximum distance, then adds the <b class="uiTerm">Extension Distance</b> and applies it to the cross section.
