      </table><br><p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">Glass Drop</b> wizard enables you to perform a study of how window glass drops in a car door.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Using a styling surface representing the glass, a barrel surface is created that is dropped into the door cavity along a helical path. The optimum angle of drop is determined, and two solid bodies are created which represent the channels that support the glass. You can view the glass motion and calculate if the glass collides with any other objects as it drops into the door cavity.</p>

      <p class="para_topic">The <b class="uiTerm">Glass Drop</b> wizard helps you perform the following tasks:
      </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Create a barrel surface (thickened sheet) that approximates the shape of the input styled surface. There are two types of barrel surface: <b class="uiTerm">Revolved-Glass Drop Down by Motion</b> (which is the default), and <b class="uiTerm">Swept-Glass Drop Down by Translation</b>. You can change the barrel surface type in the <b class="uiTerm">Customer Defaults</b> dialog box. The options and procedures for the performing the <b class="uiTerm">Glass Drop</b> study are different for each of the barrel surface type.
            </p>

If you change the settings for the barrel surface type, you must restart NX for the customer default options to take effect.
