               <p class="para_td">Selection Steps</p>

               <p class="para_td"><img align="bottom" src="graphics/die_ad_sec.gif" border="0"> &nbsp;Die Addendum Section - Lets you select a DIE_SECTION feature. &nbsp;From this feature, you can derive the flanges, flange break lines, and addendum surfaces. &nbsp;If an addendum does not exist, the system uses the die section curves to approximate the shape of the addendum surface. 
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/limit_pts.gif" border="0"> &nbsp;Limit Points - Determines the flange sheet (one point selected) and the region of the flange (two points selected) you want the system to analyze. &nbsp;If you choose one point, the system analyzes the entire flange sheet. &nbsp;Otherwise the system analyzes the region between the two points. &nbsp;&nbsp;A point sample is displayed along the flange break line to simplify point selection. &nbsp;
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/analyze_pt.gif" border="0"> Analyze at Point - Becomes available after you have performed the flange analysis (using the Analyze button). &nbsp;This allows you to select a point in the region you analyzed and either perform a local analysis at the point or create a section at the point that &nbsp;provides a good draw condition (i.e., no wrinkling or splitting) with consideration for any metal gainers or notches in the area. &nbsp;This section curve is saved after execution and can later be imported into the die section function.

               <p class="para_td">Graphical Data - Single Elements</p>
               <p class="para_td">The data consists of co-axial cylinders properly oriented for the flange element being analyzed, which correspond to the draw die radii values defining the hoop strain ranges, and the computed hoop strain of the flange element being analyzed. See the list in the previous subsection. The cylinders are displayed by highlighting the circles of their bases, using specified colors and annotation.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Graphical Data - Whole Flange</p>
               <p class="para_td">The data consists of a color-coded graph along the break line of the flange, where the abscissas are the flange elements and the ordinates are the ranges of the hoop strain. See the list in the previous subsection. For a particular flange element the hoop strain is computed, its value is positioned with respect to the ranges of the hoop strain, and the color of that range is assigned to that flange element.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Available with the Die Addendum Section, Limit Points, and Trim Curve selection steps and after a whole flange analysis has been done. &nbsp;This option estimates where metal gainers or notches should be placed along the trim curve within the region analyzed. &nbsp;These features are marked with identification numbers along the trim curve, and an information window is displayed containing the identification number, the feature type (metal gainer or notch), the anchor point coordinates, and the values of their defining shape parameters.</p>

               <p class="para_td">This pertains to single elements only, and not the whole flange analysis option. This option systematically and gradually changes the parameters of the addendum section, executes the flange analysis with every parameter change, checks the hoop strain placement with respect to the good range, and exits either when the hoop strain of the flange element falls in the good range, if possible, or when a maximum number of iterations is exhausted. In other words, it attempts to determine an addendum shape that eliminates part deflection, splits, and wrinkles during forming of the flange element.</p>
               <p class="para_td">The search is performed first without consideration of metal gainers or notches, and if unsuccessful, is repeated with consideration of these features. &nbsp;</p>
               <p class="para_td">A section curve (spline) is created if a good forming condition is determined. &nbsp;This section can later be imported into the die section function and used to construct the addendum surface. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
