      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Use this tool to create an automobile body side panel. The side panel includes the hinge pillar, the A pillar, the roof, the B pillar, the rocker, the C pillar, and the dogleg areas of the vehicle. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can use this tool with two-door, two-door and hatch, four-door, and four-door and hatch style vehicles. Four door styles are supported including frame into roof, frame under glass, frameless, and full frame. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The output is a DOOR_OPENING feature consisting of a sheet body representing the entire side of the vehicle. &nbsp;</p>

      <p class="para_topic">You must supply the following before running this tool: </p>

            <p class="para_item">Egress curves and surfaces.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Die direction.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Belt line.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Door opening line.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">B Pillar outer surface and rear door split line (four door vehicles only).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Upper hinge point and lower hinge point.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Appropriate sections obtained from the master section part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Split datum planes.</p>
         </li>

      <p class="para_topic">The wizard uses the output of the Egress Curve wizard, or you can supply your own egress curves and surfaces. A complete Wave assembly structure is created to contain the output of the wizard.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The Door Opening wizard is applicable to automotive body-in-white (BIW) design. It is part of a suite of tools dedicated specifically to door design. Because this wizard creates complex geometry so quickly, it can be used during vehicle concept design to assist in defining the architecture of the vehicle. The tool is equally useful during detailed design stages, because it creates a model that is accurate and nearly complete. &nbsp;</p>
