      </table><br><p class="para_topic">This option lets you create a clamping slot.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can select a slot type from a list of possible types. If different parameters are required other than those provided by the selected type you can open an additional dialog to enter optional dimensional values.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can optionally add notch relief and offsets to the flange base. optional offsets are applied to the input location and orientation plane. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The output of this task is a Clamping_Slot feature. </p>

               <p class="para_td">Lets you specify the location that is used to construct the pad center. The location is generated by adding the location offset to the input location along the Location Offset Direction. </p>
               <p class="para_td">If you do not position the location on the pad surface it is projected normal to the pad surface. </p>
               <p class="para_td">If you select a datum axis for the location, the point where the datum axis intersects the pad plane defines the location. </p>
               <p class="para_td">If you specify a location point or datum axis, the die centerline CSYS is used for orientation of the pad; otherwise, the input CSYS is used. </p>
               <p class="para_td">If the Center on Flange option is selected, then the CL Length value is added to this location to get the pad center; otherwise this location is used directly as the pad center.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Optionally lets you specify a plane that is used to define the pad surface. The pad surface is determined by offsetting the Pad Offset distance from this plane, along its normal. &nbsp;</p>
               <p class="para_td">If you do not define the orientation plane, then by default it is at the location of the pad surface, perpendicular to the die centerline CSYS Z direction. The pad direction (Z) is always normal to the pad surface (oriented outside the pad solid) with the width (X) and the length (Y) along the X-Y axis.</p>
