      </table><br><p class="para_topic">This function analyzes a sheet metal flange to make predictions about its formability and to assist in making corrections if the forming is not ideal. &nbsp;There are two options of analysis: </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Whole Flange Analysis</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Single Element Analysis </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">For either option, you can delimit the region of analysis via one or two limit points on the break line of the flange. &nbsp;</p>
      <div class="title_division">Whole Flange Analysis</div>
      <p class="para_division">When the Whole Flange Analysis option is exercised then one limit point implies that the entire flange sheet, whose break line goes through that point, is analyzed; while two limit points delimit the region of the flange to be analyzed. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Single Element Analysis</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Single Element Analysis option that with one limit point, the system automatically determines a neighborhood of that point on the break line, while two limit points allow you to determine that neighborhood. &nbsp;At each limit point you should visualize a plane that is perpendicular to the flange break line and that intersects the flange sheet. </p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">The input die section, via the first selection step, passes down to the operation the part, flange, and addendum sheets. The shape and location of the die section do not enter the analysis.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Addendum Surface</div>
      <p class="para_division">The program automatically detects the existence of an addendum surface in the region being analyzed. Moreover, it checks whether the addendum extends far enough to accommodate the flange when fully laid out. &nbsp;</p>
      <p class="para_division">If the addendum surface does not exist, you get a message asking whether you want to develop the flange on the tangential extension of the part sheet, or stop. </p>
      <p class="para_division">If you proceed, the missing addendum sheet is assumed to be the tangential extension of the product sheet. &nbsp;This is similar to the situation where the addendum exists, but it is short. Then the message is worded accordingly, and the flange is partly laid out on the tangential extension of the existing addendum sheet. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>
