         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use the <b class="uiTerm">Trim/Flange Profile</b> selection step to select curve(s)/edge(s) representing the shape of the trim being performed.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use the <b class="uiTerm">Base Orientation</b> selection step to select or define a plane for the location of the base.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Use the <b class="uiTerm">Start Orientation</b> selection step to select a vector or plane that defines the start of the steel insert along the trim profile.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Use the <b class="uiTerm">End Orientation</b> selection step to select a vector or plane that defines the end of the steel insert along the trim profile.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item"> Use the <b class="uiTerm">Back Shape</b> selection step to select one or more planes that define the shape of the steel insert base opposite the cutting edge. This input is optional when the two end planes intersect.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Use the <b class="uiTerm">Sheet Metal</b> selection step to select a sheet body that represents the shape of the sheet metal being trimmed.  If you don't select a sheet body, the top face is assumed to be planar and parallel to the <b class="uiTerm">Base Orientation</b>. The largest distance to the trim profile from the <b class="uiTerm">Base Orientation</b> plus (+) user input (150 mm default) is used to calculate the position of this top face.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Use the <b class="uiTerm">CAM Direction</b> selection step to specify a vector defining the direction of the trim steel travel. If you don't define a direction, the default direction of &ndash;Z absolute is assumed.  
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Click <b class="uiTerm"><a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('diedesign/steel_insert_section.html');return(false);">Contact Section Parameters</a></b> to access the dialog for specifying parameters for the type of steel insert you've selected (for example, <b class="uiTerm">Extension Type</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Belt Thickness</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Relief Angle</b>).
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Select <b class="uiTerm">Switch Trim/Flange Side</b> to change the direction of the vector that is currently perpendicular to the profile. The steel is built on the side opposite this direction, and thus the back shape has to be on the same side as well.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Double-click on the main <b class="uiTerm">Steel Insert</b> node in the Tree List to access the <b class="uiTerm"><a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('diedesign/steel_insert_param.html');return(false);">Other Parameters</a></b> dialog for specifying such parameters as <b class="uiTerm">Back/Side Relief Distance</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Product Contact Width</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Use the Tree List to create features on the steel insert or to define connecting profiles. Select one or more features in the list and click MB3 to invoke an available function. Create and edit functions will display the feature&rsquo;s dialog to allow you to define or edit its input.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) Change the steel insert type: <b class="uiTerm">Trim</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Flange</b>, or <b class="uiTerm">Offset Flange</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) clear the check boxes for: <b class="uiTerm">Profile Relief</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Back/Side Relief</b>, and/or <b class="uiTerm">Display Holes</b>. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> to create the STEEL_INSERT.
            </p>
         </li>
