      <p class="para_topic">Trim Angle Check lets you verify the angle at which scrap material is trimmed away from the part surface. To avoid a knife edge in the part and prevent excessive wear of the trim steel, it is important that the trim angle be as close as possible to the surface normal along the trim line.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Use Trim Angle Check after you have developed the binder, addendum and associated trim lines.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">This function was previously available in the Sheet Metal Application, but has now been moved to Die Engineering.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Use the Trimming Face step to select the faces you wish to trim. They should be adjacent to the trim line, which you specify in the next step.</p>
               <p class="para_td">Use the Trimming Curve step to select the trim line.</p>
               <p class="para_td">You can optionally use the Points step to select points on the trim line that limit the extent of the checking. This option is available after points have already been created from this dialog using the Apply button.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Lets you define the trimming direction, or the direction of travel, of the trim. Choose one of the following:</p>

               <p class="para_td">Use the Reverse Trim Side button to switch the trimming to the other side of the specified trimming face.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Use this option to highlight points in both the Angle/X Y Z/XC YC ZC list box and in the graphics window. Highlighted points that are displayed can be those that are:</p>

               <p class="para_td">Angle/X Y Z/XC YC ZC</p>

               <p class="para_td">This list box displays the value of the trim angles in degrees. The angle is measured between the vector defining the trim direction and the face normal at each trim point (the face normal is projected into the plane of the trim vector and the surface tangent at the trim point).</p>

               <p class="para_td">Save Highlighted Points</p>

               <p class="para_td">Lets you permanently save points that are highlighted in the list box and graphics window. Points that you may wish to save could be those that satisfy the check criteria.</p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">Basic Procedure</div>

            <p class="para_item">Use the Trimming Face selection step to select the faces adjacent to the intended trim line.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use the Trimming Curve selection step to select the trim line itself.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">You can optionally use the Points selection step to select points on the trim line to limit the extent of the checking.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Use the Trimming Direction options to define the trimming direction (the direction of travel of the trim steel).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter maximum and minimum angle values in the Max Angle and Min Angle fields, to bound the acceptable range of trim angles.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter a value in the Equal Arc Length field to determine the number of sample checks to be performed along the trim line.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click Apply to generate the trim angle checks and their points. The angles returned are measured between the vectors defining the trim directions and the face normal at each trim point (the face normal is projected into the plane of the trim vector and the surface tangent at the trim point). Values of the trim angles are displayed in degrees in the Angle/X Y Z/XC YC ZC list box. If desired, you can write detailed trim angle data for those entries that are highlighted by using the Write to Information Window button.</p>

            <p class="para_item">You can optionally save highlighted points using the Save Highlighted Points option.</p>
