      <div class="title_division">Description</div>
      <p class="para_division">The break line angle is the flanging angle with respect to the flanging direction. The ideal flanging angle is 90.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Purpose</div>
      <p class="para_division">If a flange is cannot be manufactured at an optimal angle, additional die costs are incurred.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Computational Method</div>
      <p class="para_division">The flange breakline angle is the true view angle between the flanging direction, and a tangent on the flange tangency curve. The following picture shows the trimming direction and sample points on the flange breakline.</p>

      <p class="para_division">The flange breakline angle is computed at each sample point. If a nonconformance occurs, the worst case is reported. The picture below shows the true view with a particular sample point, tangent at that point, and the flanging direction. The breakline angle is the 3-dimensional angle between the tangent at the sample point, and the flanging direction.</p>
