      </table><br><p class="para_topic"> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_2d_manikin.gif" border="0"> Use the 2D Manikin wizard to create a 2D manikin feature that you can use for occupant packaging studies early in vehicle development. The manikin is based on actual human statistical data dependent on the manikin population percentile and manikin type (driver or passenger) that you specify. 
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Since the manikin is a feature object, you can perform edit, copy, suppress, unsuppress, information and delete operations on it.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The manikin is represented as contours in a side view. </p>

      <p class="para_topic">You can perform a comfort level analysis to check things such as size and posture.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">The 2D manikin study is done according to the recommendations of SAE J833. </p>

      <p class="para_division">Since the geometry of the 2D manikin is defined by a User Defined Feature, you must configure the predefined library before using this function the first time. </p>
      <p class="para_division">The definition files are located at $UGII_BASE_DIR\UGAUTOMOTIVE/packaging\. The files are:</p>
      <p class="para_division">vpack_udf_ascii.def</p>
      <p class="para_division">vpack_udf_database.txt.</p>
      <p class="para_division"> To configure the 2D Manikin library:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose Tools&rarr; User Defined Feature&rarr; Configure Library</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select Change.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select vpack_udf_ascii.def in the first file list dialog.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select vpack_udf_database.txt in the second file list dialog. </p>
         </li>

      <p class="para_division">You need to do the configuration only once, unless it is re-configured again later.</p>
      <p class="para_division">If you maintain your own UDF library, you can merge these library definition files into your user definitions file.</p>
