      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Use this tool to create an egress curve (a closed-loop of curves) and an egress surface derived from it to use in the construction of an automotive door. This function is used in conjunction with the Door Opening Wizard to model the door ring area of the body side panel. The Egress Curve Wizard creates an EGRESS_CURVE feature consisting of:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Egress Curves - This closed string of curves defines the shape of the door aperture (opening into which the door fits). Egress curves (sometimes called the B-line) are associative to the side glass surface, the door inner surface (sometimes called the J-surface), and to the belt line. Egress curves lie on the egress surface. &nbsp;</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Egress Surface - The untrimmed sheet body that covers the opening of the door aperture. The egress curve lies on this surface. The upper portion of the egress surface is an offset of the side glass surface. The lower portion is an offset of the door inner surface. The upper and lower portions are connected by a transition region that bridges between the two, or optionally blends between them. </p>

      <p class="para_topic">The figure above shows the output egress curves (in green) and two egress surfaces (in brown) that were created for the front door and rear door of the vehicle.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can specify an offset of the upper part of the egress surface from the glass surface. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can specify an offset of the lower part of the egress surface from the door inner surface. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">Between the upper and lower parts of the egress surface you can specify a fillet or a bridge transition area. </p>
      <p class="para_topic">To use this tool you must first supply the following: </p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">A closed string of planar curves or a sketch containing the curves. This represents the shape of the egress curve in side view. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The trimmed surface of the door glass.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The door inner surface (J surface).</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The belt line (optional).</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">For four-door vehicles, run the wizard twice, once for the front door and once for the rear. You can save the results in separate component files. </p>
