      </table><br><p class="para_topic"> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_t_lower_post.gif" border="0">Lower Post helps you specify all the data necessary to define a trim or flange post, or a combination of the two. Direct trim and simple flange have similar cross sections, but the method for building each of them is unique. 
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The output of Lower Post is a complete, solid-body structure. The Lower Post casting consists of three main areas:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">trimming and flanging areas that identify the contact areas for trim and flange steels</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">the main wall, which connects the trimming and flanging areas to the base</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">the deck area that is inside and outside the main wall</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_topic">You can also specify a variety of mounting surfaces such as pads, secondary decks, and steel insert seats.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">To create a Lower Post, you may need to provide the following types of information:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">main profiles, to define the trim/flange and wall areas</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">steel inserts (created with the NX Steel Insert tool)</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">defining data, such as points, planes, and profiles</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
