      <p class="para_division">A typical hole is any shape having a circumscribed shape less than Pierce Limit and is manufactured using a single punch.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Purpose</div>
      <p class="para_division">To use standard pierce equipment whenever possible.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Computational Method</div>
      <p class="para_division">The 3d shape of the object is projected onto the plane of the punch direction. The shape is then analyzed to see if it is one of the following shapes within the tolerance specified (gage, critical, or standard).</p>

      <p class="para_division">The shape must be one of the standard shapes described above, and the pierce angle &quot;A&quot; is less than or equal to Maximum Pierce Angle value(?). The method for computing the pierce angle here is the same as it is in  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('dieengr/dfm_trim_surface_angles.html');return(false);">Trim Surface Angles</a>. See the picture below.
