               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Selection Steps</b></p>
            </td>

               <p class="para_td"><img align="bottom" src="graphics/flange_task.gif" border="0"> <b class="uiTerm">Flange Task</b> - Lets you select from a list of flange tasks that are found in the current assembly structure. After you select a flange task, the <b class="uiTerm">Flange Profile</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Flange End</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Sheet Metal</b>, and <b class="uiTerm">Die Centerline CSYS</b> selection steps are populated with input determined from the selected flange task. Geometry links are created as needed. The geometry links are created from the part file where the DOL resides, to the part file in which the flange steel is created. If a part attribute exists in a part file in the assembly structure, with a title specified by the <b class="uiTerm">Start Part Attribute Title</b> customer default, then the geometry links are created from the part file where the DOL resides to the part file in the assembly structure, then to the part file the flange steel is created in. The <b class="uiTerm">Calculate Steel Planes</b> step is activated once the flange task is selected. 
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/vehicle_automation/flange_steel/flange_profile.gif" border="0"> <b class="uiTerm">Flange Profile</b> &mdash; Lets you select curves, edges or faces to define the shape of the trim being performed.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/vehicle_automation/flange_steel/flange_end.gif" border="0"> <b class="uiTerm">Flange End</b> &mdash; Lets you select the flange end profile curves and edges that define the shape of the flange. If you skip this step, the outer edge of the sheet metal is used for the flange end.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/vehicle_automation/flange_steel/start_orientation.gif" border="0"> <b class="uiTerm">Start</b> &mdash; Lets you specify a start point for a plane that limits the portion of the flange profile to be analyzed. If the plane intersects the profile more than once, the intersection point closest to the plane origin is chosen. You typically limit the flange profile to areas with the same flange direction. Click <b class="uiTerm">Plane Subfunction</b> to define a start point. 
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/vehicle_automation/flange_steel/end_orientation.gif" border="0"> <b class="uiTerm">End</b> &mdash; Lets you specify an end point for a plane that limits the portion of the flange profile to be analyzed. If the plane intersects the profile more than once, the intersection point closest to the plane origin is chosen. Click <b class="uiTerm">Plane Subfunction</b> to define the end point.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/vehicle_automation/trim_steel_assistant/sheet_metal.gif" border="0"> <b class="uiTerm">Sheet Metal</b> &mdash; Lets you specify the sheet body that represents the shape of the sheet metal being formed.

               <p class="para_td"><img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/vehicle_automation/common/die_centerline_csys.gif" border="0"> <b class="uiTerm">Die Centerline CSYS</b> &mdash; Lets you specify a CSYS to define the center of the die. If you do not specify one, absolute origin and directions are used.

(Set the filter to <b class="uiTerm">Sketch</b> only if the sheet body is planar.)

(Set the filter to <b class="uiTerm">Sketch</b> only if the end of the flange is planar).

                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Law Controlled</b> &mdash; Opens the <b class="uiTerm">Law Subfunction</b> to let you specify the law for the entrance distance value. The entrance distance varies along the trim profile. (See Law Subfunction in the <b class="uiTerm">Modeling</b> Help.)
