The dimension is the minimum shift of the contour along this line until any contact is made, while maintaining the contour's attitude (the contour is not tilted or rotated, etc.). For an interference condition, the section is moved in the opposite direction, and a negative value is recorded. Accepts values greater than 0.</p>
