      <p class="para_topic">The Gate Design dialog contains the following toggles, options, and buttons:</p>

               <p class="para_td">There are two types of patterns:</p>
               <ul>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Balanced</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Unbalanced</p>
                  </li>
               </ul>
               <p class="para_td">Balanced patterns are used for multi-cavity molds when the gates are to be created in the same position in each instance.</p>
               <p class="para_td">When one of the balanced gates is modified, repositioned, or deleted, the other gates in the same balanced gate group are updated accordingly.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Position</p>

               <p class="para_td">Gates can be installed in the cavity, core, or both depending upon the gate type. For example, sub-gates or fan gates almost always belong to just the cavity or core. A round gate may be centered on the parting plane and cut into both the cavity and core equally.</p>
               <p class="para_td">This setting determines whether the orientation of the gate to be created is on the core or cavity side of the mold.</p>
               <p class="para_td">If the gate is cut into both the cavity and core at the parting plane, either option can be used.</p>

               <p class="para_td">There are two operation modes:</p>
               <ul>

                     <p class="para_item">Add</p>

                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Modify</p>
                  </li>
               </ul>
               <p class="para_td">When a gate is selected, the modification mode is set. The parameters related to the selected gate are displayed in the editing window. If you choose the Add option, you can add a new gate according to the type and other parameters defined in the dialog box. </p>

               <p class="para_td">Bitmap</p>

            <td bgcolor="#f7f7f7" colspan="1" rowspan="1" width="73%">
               <p class="para_td">The bitmap shows the shape, parameters, and position of the gate. The path and name of the bitmap are listed in the spreadsheet.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Expression List</p>
            </td>

               <p class="para_td">All expressions of a selected gate are shown in this window. Only one unique data record is found and placed in this area. You can modify these expressions for customization. These expressions are used to update the gate when you click Apply.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Expression Edit (W=)</p>

               <p class="para_td">When you select an expression from the Expression List, it's placed in this field for modification. By editing this expression you can modify any dimension of the gate.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Reposition Gate</p>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">Gate Point Indication</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Gate Point Indication button displays the Gate Point dialog box. &nbsp;The gate point function provides additional methods for creating points to position gates.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The gate point created using this function has an integer attribute: MW_GATE_POINT = 0.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The Gate Point dialog contains the following buttons:</p>

                     <p class="para_item">Drag the slider for arclength in %</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Drag the slider for arclength in a value</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Enter % input</p>
                  </li>
                  <li>
                     <p class="para_item">Enter real value input</p>
                  </li>
               </ul>

               <p class="para_td">Point on Face</p>

               <p class="para_td">Choose to create a point on a face. A work point is created on the center of the face.</p>

                     <p class="para_item">The face selection dialog prompts you to choose the face where you want the point to be positioned.</p>

                     <p class="para_item">The position of the point on the face may be adjusted using the Point Move on Face or Vector Constructor dialogs.</p>

               </ol>

      </table><br><div class="title_division">Gate Reposition</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can reposition a gate using the Reposition Gate functionality. Gates can be translated at a distance, or rotated along the axis indicated. You can switch between the Transform and Rotate modes to reposition a gate.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Transform</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Reposition dialog allows transformation by numerical input or slider control.&nbsp;You can also perform delta repositions by using the From Point to Point button.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Rotation</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Rotation mode allows the gate to be rotated along the indicated axis by the specified angle.&nbsp;The default rotation axis is +Z. However, you can specify any axis.</p>
