      <div class="title_division">Overview</div>
      <p class="para_division">Using <b class="uiTerm">Insert</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Welding</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Plug/Slot</b>, you can insert Plug/Slot welds and define criteria for the Plug/Slot. This option lets you create a Plug/Slot weld to specified faces from two bodies.

      <div class="title_division">Accessing</div>
      <p class="para_division">To access the <b class="uiTerm">Plug/Slot Weld</b> dialog box in the insert mode:
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">In the Modeling application</p>

            <p class="para_item">Select <b class="uiTerm">Insert</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Welding</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Plug/Slot</b>.

            <p class="para_item">Click the <b class="uiTerm">Plug/Slot</b> button <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icon_ps.gif" border="0"> on the Weld Assistant toolbar.

      <div class="title_division">Dialog Box Help</div>
      <p class="para_division">In the <b class="uiTerm">Plug/Slot Weld</b> dialog box you can specify the parameters required to create the weld, its attributes and characteristics. Here, you can also view the type of weld you are creating.

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Flush</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icon_flush.gif" border="0">: Allows you to create a Plug/Slot weld with a flat contour weld finish.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Concave</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/icon_concave.gif" border="0">: Allows you to create a Plug/Slot weld with a concave contour weld finish.

               <p class="para_td">Allows you to specify the process to be followed during production: GMAW, GTAW, GTAC, SMAW, PAW. The chosen option is assigned as attribute to the Plug/Slot.</p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Field Weld</b></p>

               <p class="para_td">Allows you to assign the Field Weld attribute to the weld object. Turn <b class="uiTerm">Field Weld</b> on to assign the attribute to the Plug/Slot weld.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Associative Output</b></p>
            </td>

               <p class="para_td">Specifies whether the weld is associative or fixed. This option is always on (associative) by default.</p>

            <p class="para_item">Using this single selection <b class="uiTerm">Face Selection</b> dialog box, select the top face (where the Hole/Slot feature exists) from the first body and the bottom face from the second body. For tips on selection, see <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/ref_sel_psto.html');return(false);">Object Selection for Plug/Slot, Tape Welds</a>. Click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>. The <b class="uiTerm">Plug/Slot Weld</b> dialog box appears.

            <p class="para_item">Select an edge from the Hole/Slot feature.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify the parameters for the plug/slot weld.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> to create the weld and exit the dialog box. Or click <b class="uiTerm">Apply</b> to create the weld and keep the <b class="uiTerm">Plug/Slot Weld</b> dialog box open.
            </p>
         </li>

      <p class="para_division">The Plug/Slot weld is created.</p>

            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Edit</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Feature</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Parameters</b> dialog box, or in the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.popUpPage('modeling/index.html?goto=modeling/partnav_overview.html&vars=-aux,-home','linkInter','menubar=yes,status=yes,resizable=yes,toolbar=yes,scrollbars=yes,location=no,directories=no');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Part Navigator</b></a>, double click on the plug/slot weld to edit. The <b class="uiTerm">Plug/Slot Weld</b> dialog box appears in the edit mode.
            </p>
         </li>

            <p class="para_item">Edit the parameters you want to modify.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">After you make the modifications, click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>.
            </p>
         </li>

      <p class="para_division">The plug/slot weld is modified. </p>
