      <p class="para_topic">You register standard parts for use in the Mold Wizard libraries by the addition of a registration text file.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Standard parts catalogs are added to the Mold Wizard standard parts library by simply adding a directory containing the properly formatted registration files. Directories for standard parts must be placed under the English or metric directories under the standard parts directory.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Text file registration of standard parts uses two files:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">A text file named moldwizard_catalog.txt</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">A registration spreadsheet</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Editing the Standard Parts Register File</div>
      <p class="para_division">You can access the standard parts register file for editing from the Mold Wizard Standard Part Management dialog box.  A NX part file must be open to access the Standard Part Management dialog box. </p>
      <p class="para_division">From the Standard Part Management dialog box, set the Catalog pull-down menu to the catalog register to be edited, then pick the Edit Register button. This starts the spreadsheet application and opens the standard parts register file (for editing). The standard parts register file opens in the state that it was last saved.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Catalog Register Sheet Formatting</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Standard Parts Management System displays the cells listed in the CATALOG column in the Standard Parts Management dialog Catalog pull-down menu. When you select a catalog name, the system reads the corresponding cell from the SHEET_NAME column.</p>
      <p class="para_division">For example, if you select the HASCO catalog option, the system finds the cell to the right of the HASCO cell, HASCO_IN. The system reads the Database Registry Sheet named HASCO_IN and loads the information into the dialog box. </p>
      <p class="para_division">The variable MW_StandardCatalogOrder defines the order of the available mold components. To see the results after you set the variable, pick the Standard Parts button. The variable is located in <b class="uiTerm">Mold Wizard Customer Defaults</b>.
      </p>
      <div class="title_division">Register a new Standard Part</div>
      <p class="para_division">Since the new standard part does not belong to an existing catalog, we will create a new CATALOG listing on the catalog register sheet. As an example, the ENGLISH Catalog Register Sheet contains a listing of WATER in the catalog column, and WATER_IN in the corresponding SHEET_NAME column. Since WATER has been added to the CATALOG column, WATER will be available in the Catalog pull-down menu of the Standard Part Management dialog box. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Standard Parts Registration Text File</div>
      <p class="para_division">The standard parts registration text file contains the information for the Standard Parts Management System to find the register file for the standard parts catalog.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The data format is as follows:</p>
      <p class="para_division">[CATALOG_NAME](in uppercase)[spaces][path to the register file for this catalog]</p>
      <div class="title_division">Standard Parts Registration Spreadsheet (Text File Method)</div>
      <p class="para_division">The standard parts registration spreadsheet follows the same format as the conventional standard parts registration sheet except that it does not have a catalog registry sheet for ENGLISH and METRIC. The standard parts register file is typically filed in the data directory of the standard parts catalog.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Database Register Sheet</div>
      <p class="para_division">Database register sheets&nbsp;contain the file system path locations for:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Standard Part Models</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Standard Part Database files</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division">You must create a database registry sheet named WATER_IN to contain the listing of model and database files belonging to the WATER catalog.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Create a database register sheet</div>
      <p class="para_division">In the XESS spreadsheet application:</p>
      <p class="para_division">Edit &gt; Insert &gt; Insert Sheet</p>
      <div class="title_division">Rename a Database Register Sheet</div>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the tab on the sheet to rename to make it active.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Edit &rarr; Set Sheet Name. Type in the desired sheet name.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">Database Register Sheet Rows and Columns</div>
      <p class="para_division">The database register sheet named WATER contains listings for standard parts that belong to the water set of standard parts. The standard parts listed on this sheet are available for selection from the Standard Part Management dialog after you select the water from the Catalog pull-down menu.</p>
      <div class="title_division">The Top Row</div>
      <p class="para_division">The database register file must contain a top row with five standard cells.</p>
      <div class="title_division">The NAME Column</div>
      <p class="para_division">The NAME column contains the list of standard parts that will be displayed in the list window of the Standard Part Management dialog box. </p>
      <p class="para_division">Some standard parts register sheets list a large number of standard parts. For example, a catalog may contain several types of components: guide pins, ejector pins, support columns, and others.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The groups of standard parts listed in the NAME column are divided into groups by classification cells. Classification cells begin and end with a dash (-) symbol. All standard parts listed below a classification cell belong to that classification until the next classification cell. These classifications are found in the Classification pull-down menu in the Standard Part Management dialog box. </p>
      <p class="para_division">If you select an option from the Classification pull-down menu, the standard parts displayed in the listing window is filtered to display only the standard parts listed under the classification cell that was selected.</p>
      <div class="title_division">The DATA_PATH Column</div>
      <p class="para_division">The DATA_PATH column contains the directory path to the directory containing the standard parts database spreadsheet. The path specification begins from the Mold Wizard directory. Any empty cell in the DATA_PATH column uses the entry from the first filled cell found above.</p>
      <div class="title_division">The DATA Column</div>
      <p class="para_division">The DATA column contains the file name of the database spreadsheet corresponding to the standard part listed in the NAME column of the same row.</p>
      <div class="title_division">The MOD_PATH Column</div>
      <p class="para_division">The MOD_PATH column contains the directory path to the directory containing the standard part model. The path specification begins from the Mold Wizard directory. Any empty cell in the MOD_PATH column uses the entry from the first filled cell found above.</p>
      <div class="title_division">The MODEL column</div>
      <p class="para_division">The MODEL column contains the file name of the part model corresponding to the standard part listed in the NAME column of the same row.</p>
