      </table><br><div class="title_division">Step 1. Create a New Project</div>
      <p class="para_division">To start a new electrode project, follow these steps:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Open the part model that you want to use in your <b class="uiTerm">Electrode Design</b> project.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Electrode Design</b> menu, choose <b class="uiTerm">Initialize Project </b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/toolbars/wizards/electrode_design/initialize_electrode_project.gif" border="0">.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Initialize Project </b> dialog box, choose <b class="uiTerm"> Set Project Path and Name </b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_d_projinit_setnamefolder.gif" border="0">.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">This is the path and the folder name where the related project, assembly, drawing, and components will be located.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Using your desktop OS utilities, define the<b class="uiTerm"> Project Path</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Project Name</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">New Project </b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_d_projinit_newproject.gif" border="0"> to initialize the new <b class="uiTerm">Electrode Design</b> project.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm"> Electrode Design</b> creates and automatically saves the assembly with a link to the displayed product model.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">Step 2. Create the Machine Setting</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Machine Setting, or MSET, is the assembly that contains the machined part, machining origin, electrode working part, blank parts, and the holder components. Multiple MSETs can be created for a single project, allowing different designers to work on the project concurrently from within their own MSET.  </p>

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm">Electrode Project Initialize</b> dialog box, choose <b class="uiTerm">New Setting</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_d_projinit_linkobjects.gif" border="0">.

         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Add additional settings if necessary.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">Step 3. Establish the Working Coordinate System (CSYS)</div>
      <p class="para_division">In this step, you create the working coordinate system for the electrode. The MSET CSYS is used to set the machining coordinates for the EDM machine and the electrode assembly drawings.</p>

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm"> Electrode Project Initialize</b>dialog, choose <b class="uiTerm">Edit Origin Point and WCS</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_d_projinit_setwcs.gif" border="0">.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select a method to define the CSYS (for example, <b class="uiTerm">Face Center</b>, which means that the center point of the selected face will be the CSYS for the project.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the graphics window, select a face to define the origin point of the CSYS. </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">On the dynamic WCS, select the XC, YC rotation handle and turn the CSYS to the desired orientation.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <div class="title_division">Step 4. Link Working Objects</div>
      <p class="para_division">In this step, you create links between the working objects in your electrode assembly. By creating an associative link from the machining part to the MSET you establish associativity between the original part and the MSET, which enables design changes to be managed associatively between the core / cavity and the electrode. </p>

            <p class="para_item">On the <b class="uiTerm"> Electrode Project Initialize</b> dialog box, choose <b class="uiTerm"> Link Working Objects</b> <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ico_d_projinit_newsetting.gif" border="0">.

         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Open the <b class="uiTerm"> Assembly Navigator</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm"> Electrode Project Initialize</b> dialog box, select the machine setting to which you want the working objects linked.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Assembly Navigator</b>, select the objects that you want to link into the MSET.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To confirm the links, press and hold <b class="uiTerm">MB3</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
