      <p class="para_division">Nonassociative welds are de-linked from the joining parts and do not update when the connecting parts are modified. These welds are light weight and store minimal feature information required to display, annotate, and query weld objects.</p>

      <p class="para_division">This function is useful when you want to create the weld objects and freeze the weld design such that modifications to the connecting part do not affect the weld parameters. You can also use this option if the intention is to create weld objects and annotate them on a drawing.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The ability to create nonassociative output is available on most of the weld type dialog boxes. It has various names, such as <b class="uiTerm">Output Type</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Associative Output</b>. You can set the option to create nonassociative welds, or you can change it during editing of an existing associated weld to convert the weld to a nonassociative type.       <p class="para_division">You will be able to achieve considerable advantage in the part file size as these are light weight welds.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">The connected parts information will be stored as attributes on nonassociative welds. If at the point of creation of nonassociative welds you have not specified the Part Number attribute to the connected parts, no connected parts information will be available, either in query or annotation.</p>

      <p class="para_division">The following table details the impact of associative and nonassociative welds on the other weld parameters.                <p class="para_th">Multiple overlap sheets</p>
            </th>
            <td colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td">Sometimes several overlap bodies are created for associative spot welds. The creation of many overlap bodies depend on the input faces that have been selected. In this case if the spot weld is being created using the <b class="uiTerm">Multiple</b> method, irrespective of the <b class="uiTerm">Location</b> option selected, Weld Assistant converts the spot weld to a nonassociative weld, and changes the <b class="uiTerm">Location</b> option to <b class="uiTerm">Along Guide Curve</b>. In the edit mode, the other two <b class="uiTerm">Location</b> options (<b class="uiTerm">Center Line</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Offset from Guide Edge</b>) will not be available.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">In case several overlap bodies are created for associative spot welds created using the <b class="uiTerm">Single</b> method, Weld Assistant converts the welds to nonassociative welds.
               </p>

               <p class="para_td">The CSYS is created on all the spot weld points if the corresponding preference is set. During creation of CSYS, the coordinates of spot weld points become the origin. Since the reference curves are available for associative spot welds that were created using the <b class="uiTerm">Multiple</b> method, X direction will be along the tangent of the reference curve, and Z will be away from the second set of faces.
               </p>
               <p class="para_td">If you create associative spot welds using the <b class="uiTerm">Single</b> method, the X direction will be along U value of the reference sheet and Z will be away from the second set of faces. If associative spot welds are created using <b class="uiTerm">Single</b> method, the XYZ directions will be absolute CSYS directions.
               </p>

If, at the point of creation of nonassociative welds, you have not specified the Part Number attribute to the connected parts, no connected parts information is available, either in Information or annotation.</p>
