      <p class="para_topic">The Suppress Parting function enables you to make complex changes to a product model after the parting design has been completed. The Suppress Parting edit process applies to the following situations:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">A parting and mold component design has been completed.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Changes must be made directly to the product model in the mold design project.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Suppress Parting Process</div>
      <p class="para_division">The process to make changes to the product model and update changes to the parting design is as follows:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click the Suppress Parting button from the Parting Manager dialog box.  This causes the following operations:</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">The cavity and core trim features are suppressed by setting the value of the suppression by expression parameters to 0.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">The cavity and core extract regions are suppressed.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">All features that were created by the sewing of parting surfaces are deleted.</p>
               </li>
            </ul>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Make changes to the product model such as add/remove holes, notches, bosses or ribs, etc.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Make the parting part the displayed part.</p>
            <ol type="a" start="1">
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Remove invalid patch surfaces. If you must remove a hole from the product model that was patched with a surface, use the Mold Tools, Parting/Patch Delete function to remove this surface from the parting design (in the parting part).</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Patch any new openings using the Mold Wizard Tools patching functions.</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Edit the parting lines and surfaces that were affected by the change.</p>
               </li>
            </ol>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click the Create Cavity and Core button in the Parting Manager dialog to create the cavity and core sheet again.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
