      <p class="para_topic">Weld Assistant automates the creation and management of weld features on the 3D CAD model. Using Weld Assistant, you can <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/using.html');return(false);">create</a>, <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/using.html');return(false);">edit</a>, and <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/using.html');return(false);">delete</a> weld features. It supports the creation of resistance welds, arc welds, and mechanical clinches along with sealers, adhesives and mastics. It also supports the creation of Compound Welds and importing of Spot Welds from a neutral file format.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">In addition to placing the features, a complete checking mechanism lets you review the placement of the weld features and identify any connection that violates the standards that you set up. Customer defaults let you customize the weld checks based on your own best practices and standards.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">An automatic annotation function interprets the weld feature and creates the proper weld or welding symbol on the face of a drawing.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can query for additional information such as entity ID, group ID, class, and tolerance, which are saved with the feature.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Weld features are fully supported in NX Open, allowing 3rd party software access to the weld features.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Weld features can be published to Teamcenter as individual objects, enabling them to be managed and processed by Teamcenter and Teamcenter Manufacturing.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">You can access Weld Assistant in the Modeling and Drafting applications.</p>
