This feature supplements the Mold Wizard parting surface capabilities with a flexible, automated approach to creating parting surfaces. Parting lines are automatically subdivided into smaller, more manageable segments before generating parting surfaces. Directional guide lines are created at both ends of the segments to facilitate parting surface creation. The segments are determined when the transition objects and points are defined. In addition, Creating parting line segments from a parting line loop simplifies the process of creating parting surfaces in complex parts.</p>

               <p class="para_td">Creates parting surfaces for many different types of surfaces. The types of surfaces include Extrude, Swept, Bounded Plane, Enlarged Surface, Trim and Extend, Ribbon. Based on the information of the parting segment, all or some of these surface types will be available for creating parting surface.  </p>
               <p class="para_td"><b class="uiTerm">Create/Edit Parting Surfaces</b> also lets you create parting surfaces using NX Ribbon Surface Builder and Trim Extend Sheet Surfaces.
               </p>

                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Ribbon Surface Builder</b> allows you to create parting surfaces from the parting lines in a radial configuration relative to the ejection direction.

                     <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Trim and Extend Sheet Surfaces</b> allows you to generate parting surfaces in a tangential direction relative to surface references.

               <p class="para_td">One parting surface is created from a parting line segment. Using the parting line segments created from a parting line loop simplifies the process of creating parting surfaces in complex parts. It can be time consuming to create a single parting surface from all the parting lines in a parting line loop. It is easier to break the parting lines into manageable line segments. Using several parting line segments lets you easily create parting surfaces. </p>
