      <p class="para_topic">To create a new mold design project, use the Load Product function. To open an existing project, use the conventional File &rarr; Open to load the top component of the project. Recently edited files can be quickly located for opening from File &rarr; Recently Opened Parts.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Load Product</div>
      <p class="para_division">The mold design process begins by loading the product model.</p>

      <p class="para_division">Select the Load Product button from the Mold Wizard tool bar to begin a Mold Wizard project. The Open Part File dialog is displayed.</p>

      <p class="para_division">Use the Open Part File dialog to locate and select the product model part file. After the product model has been selected, the Project Initialize dialog is displayed.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">NOTE: Mold Wizard does not modify the original product model in any way. Instead, Mold Wizard creates a linked copy of the product model for use in the mold design. Linked copies of product model files can be referenced from any directory of a shared file system. In some cases, it may be preferable to copy the original product model file into an isolated directory used for the mold project. This will depend on the type and frequency of changes made to the product model, since changes made to a linked copy of the product model will affect the mold design. If you use a copy of the product model file, the file may be overwritten with new revisions with the same associative result.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Project Initialize</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Project Initialize dialog collects information needed to create the directory for the mold assembly and name the related files.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Project Units</div>
      <p class="para_division">Mold Wizard projects use either inch or metric product models with inch or metric mold base assemblies. Inch-unit catalogs are available to support inch-unit projects and metric-unit catalogs are available to support metric-unit projects. The unit type selected determines which mold base and component libraries are available for the project. For example, a mold design may be based on a metric part. However, if the designer plans to use an inch-units mold base, the inch option is selected and the appropriate libraries are made available.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Set Project Path</div>
      <p class="para_division">Mold Wizard automatically places a default path specification in the Project Path field of the Project Initialize dialog box. Ensure that the project path is the correct location to store your mold design project before continuing. To change the project path and name using a file browser, select the Set Project Path and Name button on the Project Initialize dialog to display the Select Project Path and Name dialog box. You can then search and select, or create and select, a directory to store the files for the mold design project. In NX Manager, the mold project is the plastic product folder in the Teamcenter Engineering environment. The project path area is grayed out.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Project Name</div>
      <p class="para_division">By default, the project name is the same as the name of the product model. You can change the project name to match a job number or anything else. Choose your project name with care; the project name is included in the file name of each file in the mold project. It's recommended that the project name consist of less than ten characters.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body"> <b class="uiTerm">Mold Wizard Customer Defaults </b>includes a setting to control the maximum number of characters allowed in the project name. A project name with more characters than the specified limit will be truncated to the limit.

      <div class="title_division">Rename Dialog</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Rename Dialog toggle displays the Part Name Management dialog before loading the part.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Part Material</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Part Material pull-down menu lets you select a plastic part material. The Shrinkage factor of the material is also displayed. However, you can change the Shrinkage factor value. You can also edit the shrinkage factor in the Shrinkage module. You can edit the plastic material library with the Edit Material Database button.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Overwriting Safeguard</div>
      <p class="para_division">If you select an existing project path and name during the project initialization process, Mold Wizard displays a dialog for you to choose to Overwrite the Project, Load the Project, or Change the Project Name. </p>
      <div class="title_division">Creating the Assembly</div>
      <p class="para_division">After you've completed the project initialization fields, click OK to proceed. Mold Wizard automatically creates a mold design assembly structure.</p>
      <p class="para_division">After the project is loaded, all parts of the assembly are automatically saved, and the top part is automatically added to the Recently Opened Parts listing in the File menu.</p>
