      <p class="para_topic">In this example, you want to create multiple weld points between the left yellow and green faces of the following part.</p>

            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Weld Point</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/toolbars/wizards/weld_assistant/weld_point.gif" border="0"> in the <b class="uiTerm">Weld Assistant</b> toolbar (or choose <b class="uiTerm">Insert</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Welding</b>&rarr;<b class="uiTerm">Weld Point</b>) to open the <b class="uiTerm">Weld Point</b> dialog box.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set <b class="uiTerm">Type</b> to the type of spot weld that you want.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Set <b class="uiTerm">Method</b> to <b class="uiTerm">Multiple</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If you are creating weld points on a single part, under <b class="uiTerm">Settings</b>, select the <b class="uiTerm">Connecting Only One Part</b> check box.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Connecting Only One Part</b> is near the bottom of the <b class="uiTerm">Weld Point</b> dialog box.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">While <b class="uiTerm">Select Face</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/wizards/weld_point/select_face.gif" border="0"> is active, select one or more faces for the first face set.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Add New Set</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/modeling/common/add_new_set.gif" border="0"> to add the first face set to the <b class="uiTerm">List</b> box.

            <p class="para_item">Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all the face sets that you want appear in the <b class="uiTerm">List</b> box in the <b class="uiTerm">Face Sets</b> group.

            <p class="para_item">If you want to delete a face set, select it in the <b class="uiTerm">List</b> box and click <b class="uiTerm">Remove</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/gateway/assembly_load_options/remove.gif" border="0">.

            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Guide Curves</b> group, <b class="uiTerm">Select Curve</b> is no longer grayed out after you add the second face set to <b class="uiTerm">List</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify your <b class="uiTerm">Reference Sheet</b> as one of the following:
            </p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Overlap</b> &mdash; Uses the overlapping regions of all the face sets to create the reference sheet
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Top</b> &mdash; Uses the faces in the first face set to create the reference sheet
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ul>
            <p class="para_item">The reference sheet will be generated in step 11.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Guide Curves</b> group, choose a <b class="uiTerm">Location</b> option to define where you want your guide curves located from the input curves (which you will select in step 11):
            </p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Offset from Edge</b> &mdash; You must specify a distance (see step 12).
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item"><b class="uiTerm">Center Line</b> &mdash; You must select two groups of curves. The guide curve is created between the two selected groups.
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ul>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Specify whether you want to <b class="uiTerm">Extend Offset Curve to Face Boundary</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Select Curve</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/wizards/weld_point/select_curve.gif" border="0"> and select input curves for the guide curve (which will be generated in step 14).

                        <p class="para_note_body">The reference sheet is generated when you click <b class="uiTerm">Select Curve</b>.
                        </p>
                        <p class="para_note_body">Reference sheets appear in <b class="uiTerm">List</b> in the <b class="uiTerm">Guide Curves</b> group. The first number tracks the number of input curves in your guide curve, and the second number (which is used only for centerlines) tracks the number of input curves for the second set of input curves.
                        </p>
                        <p class="para_note_body">Your selected face sets may generate more than one reference sheet.</p>

            <p class="para_item">If your guide curve is <b class="uiTerm">Offset from Edge</b>, define the <b class="uiTerm">Offset Distance</b> in the <b class="uiTerm">Position Options</b> group.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">If you prefer, you can define the offset distance in the graphics window by using the slider or by double-clicking the dynamic input box and entering the value that you want.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Define the locations of the first and last weld points by doing one of the following for each point:</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Set <b class="uiTerm">Location</b> to <b class="uiTerm">Arc Length</b>, and specify the arc length in <b class="uiTerm">Distance From Start</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Distance From End</b>.
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Set <b class="uiTerm">Location</b> to <b class="uiTerm">Through Point</b>, and specify a point. You can use the <b class="uiTerm">Point Constructor</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/gateway/common/point_constructor.gif" border="0"> or <b class="uiTerm">Point</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/gateway/common/point.gif" border="0"> options to define the point.
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ul>
            <p class="para_item">As with <b class="uiTerm">Offset Distance</b>, you can define these values in the dialog box or in the graphics window with the slider or dynamic input boxes.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Add New Set</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/modeling/common/add_new_set.gif" border="0"> to create the guide curve.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">If your guide curve is a centerline, you must select the input curves for the second side of your centerline and click <b class="uiTerm">Add New Set</b> again before the guide curve is created.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">In the example, <b class="uiTerm">Location</b> (see step 8) is <b class="uiTerm">Offset from Edge</b>.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item">Define either <b class="uiTerm">Spacing</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Number</b> to specify how the rest of the weld points should be created.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">You cannot define both. For example, if you define <b class="uiTerm">Number</b>, NX adjusts the spacing to fit your specified number of weld points along the guide curve.
            </p>
            <p class="para_item">If you define <b class="uiTerm">Spacing</b> that conflicts with the last weld point's location as specified in <b class="uiTerm">Distance From End</b>, NX uses the <b class="uiTerm">Spacing</b> value to place the last weld point.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Visualize/Edit</b> group, click <b class="uiTerm">Adjust Point</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/modeling/common/point.gif" border="0"></p>
            <p class="para_item">A preview of the weld points and their coordinates appears in the graphics window and in the <b class="uiTerm">Visualize/Edit</b> group's <b class="uiTerm">List</b> box.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item">Also, the <b class="uiTerm">Display Weld CSYS</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Add Characteristics</b> options appear in the <b class="uiTerm">Visualize/Edit</b> group of the <b class="uiTerm">Weld Point</b> dialog box.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">(Optional) You can modify the previewed weld points as desired by performing one or more of the following:</p>
            <ul>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Double-click a weld point's dynamic input box in the graphics window and enter new values</p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">Display Weld CSYS</b> and modify a weld point's CSYS
                  </p>
               </li>
               <li>
                  <p class="para_item">Add attributes to a weld point by clicking <b class="uiTerm">Add Characteristics</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/wizards/weld_point/add_characteristics.gif" border="0"> to open the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('weldassistant/weld_characteristics.html');return(false);"><b class="uiTerm">Weld Characteristics</b></a> dialog box.
                  </p>
               </li>
            </ul>
            <p class="para_item">In the example, you can select any weld point's CSYS for modification.</p>
