The Standard Part Management dialog has a bitmap image display area to show the part shape and parameters. The image shown in the dialog is read from a bitmap file stored in the bitmap subdirectory created for the standard part. Usually it is most convenient to match the file name of the bitmap to the corresponding standard part. (Obviously, the file extensions will be different.)

You can create the bitmap images by scanning in images from catalogs, drawing them in with bitmap editing software (such as Microsoft PaintNX®), or exporting them from the graphics screen of as a bitmap (.bmp) file.

The number of pixels in the bitmap determines the bitmap image screen size. A bitmap size of 400 X 200 pixels is generally used where possible. If larger bitmap images are used, the Standard Part Management dialog automatically conforms to fit the larger bitmap images where possible.
