            <p class="para_item">Pick the type of bend - <b class="uiTerm">90 Degree Bending</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Angle Bending</b>, <b class="uiTerm">Z Bending</b>, <b class="uiTerm">V Bending</b>. <img align="bottom" src="graphics/ig_002.gif" border="0"></p>

            <p class="para_item">Choose either <b class="uiTerm">Bending Punch</b> or <b class="uiTerm">Bending Die</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">In the graphics window, click the bend face (root radius face of the bend ) of the bend feature.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Load Bend Insert</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/wizards/insert_group_design/load_bend_insert.gif" border="0">.

            <p class="para_item">On the Catalog page of the <b class="uiTerm">Standard Part Management </b>dialog box, select the <b class="uiTerm">Catalog</b> for the bend type you want to use.

                        <p class="para_note_body">Design Automation: PDW can automatically retrieve the parameters (such as bend radius, bend width) from bend feature and&nbsp;mate insert with bend feature.&nbsp;In order to realize the design automation, you must select root radius face of the bend feature and&nbsp;choose the correct bend punch or die. For example, if you want to design a bend punch for a z-bend-up feature,&nbsp;you should:</p>

      <p class="para_division">In case design automation fails, you can delete it and try again or interactively position it or edit size</p>
      <p class="para_division">You can pick several bend features if you want them to share one bend insert.</p><a name="ig_embossing"></a><div class="title_division">Embossing </div>
      <p class="para_division">You can create an embossing group for forming features of any shape or design.</p>
      <p class="para_division">To create an embossing punch or die, choose either Design Forming Punch or Design Forming Die, then:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click&nbsp;<b class="uiTerm">Select Forming Faces</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/wizards/insert_group_design/select_forming_faces.gif" border="0">.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Pick a face in the formed area as the seed face to search all the adjacent faces.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If the area is closed (most cases), click <b class="uiTerm">Back</b> when the system prompts you to select a boundary face.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click&nbsp;<b class="uiTerm">Load Forming Insert</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/wizards/insert_group_design/load_forming_insert.gif" border="0">.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Pick an appropriately sized insert and specify dimensions: either pick the dimensions from the menus or use the dimension page.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click&nbsp;<b class="uiTerm">Trim Forming Head</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/wizards/insert_group_design/trim_forming_head.gif" border="0">.

            <p class="para_item">Pick either +Z direction or -Z direction; reverse if needed.</p>

      <p class="para_division">You can create burring groups for burring features.&nbsp; Burring punches and dies are designed at one time and can be automatically sized and positioned.</p>
      <p class="para_division">To create a burring punch or die:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select <em>all </em>the burring process sheet/faces. 
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Load Burring Insert</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Pick an appropriately&nbsp;type of burring&nbsp;insert and specify dimensions: either pick the dimensions from the menus or use the dimension page.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>.
            </p>

      <p class="para_division">Use the lifter group insert tab to place guide lifters or general lifters in the die design.</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose Load Lifter Insert.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">From the library, select the appropriate lifter with appropriate dimensions.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click OK to add the part to the assembly.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Place the lifter. If you choose a general lifter, you&nbsp;&nbsp;just need select a point to place&nbsp;the&nbsp;general lifter in the design; if you choose guide lifter, you still need to select a strip edge to position&nbsp;the guide lifter in the design. </p>
         </li>
      </ol><a name="ig_pilot"></a><div class="title_division">Pilot tab</div>
      <p class="para_division">Use the pilot group insert tab to place pilots in the die design.</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose <b class="uiTerm">Load Pilot Insert</b> <img align="bottom" src="../graphic_library/icons/dialogs/wizards/insert_group_design/load_pilot_insert.gif" border="0">.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Pick a tool out of the library with appropriate sizes.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select a point to place the pilot in the design.</p>
         </li>
      </ol><a name="ig_mounting"></a><div class="title_division">Mounting tab</div>
      <p class="para_division">Use the <b class="uiTerm">Mounting</b> tab to add additional mounting provisions to the piercing punches. This tab provides mounting type buttons and design procedure buttons.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">Pin, Spring mounting method:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Load Mount Insert</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose a proper mount insert from library.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Pick a point to insert the mount.</p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division">Method 2:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click first button of Design Procedure and select an edge of piercing punch.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Load Mount Insert</b> and choose a proper mount insert from library.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Reposition</b> and mount insert is automatically positioned with piercing insert. If you check Added Under the Selected Piercing Punch, mount insert will be added under piercing insert.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ol>
      <p class="para_division">Method 3:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click first button of <b class="uiTerm">Design Procedure</b> and select a&nbsp;face of piercing punch.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click<b class="uiTerm"> Load Mount Insert </b>and choose a proper mount insert from library.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Reposition</b> and mount insert is automatically positioned with piercing insert. If you chec<b class="uiTerm">k Added Under the Selected Piercing Punch</b>, mount insert will be added under piercing insert.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ol><a name="ig_countersink"></a><div class="title_division">Countersink tab</div>
      <p class="para_division">The Countersink tab lets you create countersink insert groups for countersink features. You can also automatically size and position countersink insert groups.</p>
      <p class="para_division">To create a countersink insert:</p>
      <ol type="1" start="1">
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Select Conical Face</b> and select the conical face for the countersink process using the screen cursor.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">Load an Insert</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Pick the type of countersink insert and specify the necessary dimensions.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b>.
            </p>
         </li>
      </ol>

            <p class="para_item">Pick the type of counterbore insert and specify the necessary dimensions.</p>

      <p class="para_division">The Tool tab lets you rotate, reposition, delete, copy of an existing insert group. You can also update the position of insert groups if the related process sheet body position is changed in strip layout.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The Rotate operation lets you rotate an object around a point, aligned to a specified line, and rotated a specified angle. You can:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Enter an angle value to rotate the selected insert group around a base point.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose a line to align to.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Choose a point to rotate about, in the X-Y orientation.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Reposition</b> operation supports general movement of an insert.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Delete</b> operation lets you remove an insert group from the assembly.
      </p>
      <p class="para_division">The <b class="uiTerm">Copy</b> operation lets you copy a component to another position in the assembly. This is useful in multiple row or multiple parts per station layouts where there are many identical tools.&nbsp; You can create multiple copies.
      </p>

      <p class="para_division"><b class="uiTerm">Update Position of Insert Groups</b> lets you update the position of an insert group if the related process sheet body position is changed in strip layout. Any previously created related pocket are automatically updated.
