      <p class="para_topic">This option selects connected objects, wireframe geometry or solid edges. You can specify chaining in two ways: using the Chain button on the Selection Tool or using the mouse.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Chaining works even if some of the objects in the chain are no longer visible in the view, due to zooming or panning operations. However, in order for the chain to work, the start and end objects must be visible.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">When selecting objects for the chain, the system honors any settings made with the Type filter.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Selecting a New Starting Object</div>
      <p class="para_division">To select a new starting object:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the new object using &lt;Crtl&gt; &lt;Shift&gt; MB1.</p>
         </li>

      <div class="title_division">Wireframe Chaining</div>
      <p class="para_division">To perform wireframe geometry chaining:</p>

         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Select the beginning object. To determine the direction of the chaining sequence, select the object to one side or the other of its middle control point. The system prompts you to indicate the chain end.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">To end the chain, click OK or use the cursor to select a chain-ending object. The system selects all objects between the two objects.</p>
         </li>

      <div class="title_division">Solid Edge Chaining</div>
      <p class="para_division">Solid edge chaining operates the same as wireframe chaining, except the system uses the point you select for the starting edge and also to discriminate between two possible faces for the chaining operation. When you select the starting object, you are not only selecting a direction in which to chain, but also the face upon which the chaining is to occur.</p>

      <div class="title_division">Using the Mouse (outside or inside class selection)</div>
      <p class="para_division">To select connected curves or edges:</p>
      <p class="para_division">1. Click MB1 on the start of the chain.</p>
      <p class="para_division">2. Press &lt;Alt&gt; &lt;Shift&gt; and click MB1 on the end of the chain.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Depending on your platform, you may have to use a different key sequence to indicate the end of the chain.</p>
      <p class="para_division">To specify the direction the system performs the chain, select the first object to one side or other of its middle control point.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Using the Class Selection Tool</div>
      <p class="para_division">1. Open the Class Selection Tool. </p>
      <p class="para_division">2. Click the Chain button.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The Chain button's label changes to &quot;End Chain.&quot; </p>
      <p class="para_division">3. Select the first object in the chain.</p>
      <p class="para_division">The &quot;All But Selected&quot; button's label changes to &quot;Cancel Chain.&quot; </p>
      <p class="para_division">4. To end the chain, click the &quot;End Chain&quot; button, OK, or MB2. </p>
      <p class="para_division">The Chain option is also available on the Ordered Point Tool.</p>
