      <p class="para_topic"> If there is more than one view in the current layout, choosing Replace View from the Layout menu displays the View to Replace dialog box. Views in the current layout are shown in the list with the current work view highlighted. You may select the view to be replaced from the graphics screen or from the list box.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> After a view has been selected or in the case where there is only one view in the current layout, the View to Add dialog box is displayed. All available views are listed -- system defined views first, followed by user-defined views in alphabetical order. There is no default view highlighted in the View to Add dialog box.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> Once the desired replacement view has been selected, the system will update the graphics display area.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">  View names in a layout must be unique. Therefore, if you replace a view in a layout with one that is already present in the layout, its name is appended with a pound sign (#). For example, if you have a standard four-view, layout displayed and then replace the TFR-ISO view with the TOP view. The view that is added to the layout will be a new view with the name of TOP#1 (assuming TOP#1 does not already exist in the part; if it does, TOP#2 will be added). If the original view's name has the maximum allowed number of characters, then the name of the new view will be truncated to hold the #&lt;number&gt; characters and still fit within the maximum character limit.</p>

      <p class="para_topic"> No more than one sketch view may exist in a layout.</p>
      <p class="para_topic"> If the view regeneration process becomes too time consuming, you can abort it by pressing &lt;Ctrl&gt;&lt;Shift&gt;L on UNIX, or with the Stop option in the Work in Progress dialog on Windows.</p>
