      </table><br><p class="para_topic">When you connect Collaborate to a conference and open an assembly or part, your parts that have the same name as parts opened by other participants are put into collaboration automatically. A part that is in collaboration is eligible to send and receive changes among conference participants. Not all of your open parts need to be in collaboration.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">Steve, Julie, and Jeff all have different assemblies opened, but have some parts with common names. These common named parts are put into collaboration.</p>

      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Because only part names that are in common are put into collaboration, and only the participants that have the similarly named parts see this, the <b class="uiTerm">Parts in Collaboration (PIC)</b> display is unique for each individual.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">The user name is the First and Last name entry in your Teamcenter Community CAD conference member information.</p>

      </table><br><p class="para_topic">Jeff has commonly named parts with Julie (hinge and hingehalf) and Steve (bottom). However, Steve and Julie have no similarly named parts so their <b class="uiTerm">Parts in Collaboration</b> displays only show the parts being collaborated with Jeff.
      </p>
      <p class="para_topic">For your parts that are similar&ndash;to but named differently&ndash;from other participants' parts, the <b class="uiTerm">Part Name Map</b> function <img align="bottom" src="graphics/part_map.gif" border="0"> lets you map your part name to that of another participant's part name. This will put the parts into collaboration as if the names directly matched. See <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('ugcollaborate/collab_functions.html');return(false);">Collaboration Functions</a> for more information on <b class="uiTerm">Part Name Map</b>.
