      <p class="para_topic"><b>Selected Color Definition File&nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;</b>Displays the selected color definition file: part CDF, system CDF, or the CDF you have opened or saved.

               <p class="para_td">If you are affected by color blindness to any degree, you may want to use the Override feature. While working on a part, you can temporarily override the existing color palette with a custom palette that allows you to better differentiate colors. This affects the display only. For more information, see  <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('customizing_nx/prf_vis_clrplt_ht.html');return(false);">Using the Override Feature</a>.

               <p class="para_td">Contains a matrix of 216 colors on the left, a Quick Access Row of 30 colors on the right, and a selected color box. The matrix of 216 colors displays all available colors.</p>
               <p class="para_td">The colors in the Quick Access Column match the colors in the color cube matrix and provide quick access to the first 30 colors. For parts created before V17 (with 15 stored colors), the dialog page positions these colors in the first 15 slots of the quick access row.</p>
               <p class="para_td">The selected color displays at the bottom of the Quick Access Row. </p>
               <p class="para_td">The system stores the color table with the part. Therefore, if you open two different parts at the same time, the color schemes may be different in each part.</p>

               <p class="para_td">RGB stands for red-green-blue, a mixing model, or method of describing colors. RGB uses the additive primary method, mixing percentages of red, green, and blue to get the desired color. Adding no color produces black, and adding 100 percent of all three colors produces white. The RGB indicator displays the percentage of red, green, and blue in each color. Values range from 0 to 255.</p>

               <p class="para_td">You can label your colors if you want. You can enter a maximum of 32 characters. Labels are for informational use only. Other dialogs in NX display the color label when applicable. If no label exists, the dialog page displays a blank. You can't select a color by entering a label. </p>

               <p class="para_td">Use this button to edit the background color. The background color refers to the color of the background of the graphics window. NX supports graduated backgrounds for all display modes. You can select background colors for Shaded or Wireframe displays. The background can be Plain or Graduated. Valid options for all background colors are 0 to 255. You can override these settings by redefining the background using the Visual Effects&rarr;Background dialog in Studio rendering style.</p>
