There are some generic spreadsheet names that may appear in a part.

- MODELING_SHEET = the spreadsheet for Modeling

The EMPTY keyword is used to specify a string that is used for those cells that are empty in the spreadsheet. If an HTML table item is empty then the "cell" will not display with any background colors. By using " " (a non break space), as the contents of an empty cell, the output HTML table will have the correct appearance. If you are formatting for a different appearance, you may want to change the EMPTY string. For example, to return the first 3 columns of the Gateway spreadsheet in a table, you could use the following embedded command:

 <@UGSPREADSHEET NAME="DEFAULT_SHEET" PART="WORK" HEADER="

Gateway Spreadsheet Data

A

B

C

" FORMAT="

$ROW

$A

$B

$C

" FOOTER="
">

The FORMAT field can also take on one special value, where FORMAT="AUTO". The automatic format mode will generate table information for an active range of rows and columns in the table. To achieve the same results as the previous example you could use the AUTO formatting as shown below.

 <@UGSPREADSHEET NAME="DEFAULT_SHEET" PART="WORK" HEADER="

Gateway Spreadsheet Data
" FORMAT="AUTO" FOOTER="
">

The automatic formatter will output a table row containing column headers (i.e., A B C ...), and then additional rows containing the row number and cell contents. If you include the HEADER keyword you will need to start the table, and optionally add a title header row to the table as shown in the example above.

In the simplest case you can use defaults and get a table of the spreadsheet, since the default for HEADER is
and the default for FOOTER is
.

The LABELS keyword turns off the generation of column and row labels when used with the AUTO formatting capability.
