      <div class="title_division">More About Regenerate Small Objects</div>
<div class="title_division">Settings Do Not Take Effect Until Next Operation</div>
<p class="para_division"> In most cases, the settings on the Regeneration tab of the Visualization Performance Preferences dialog do not take effect until the next operation which causes a regeneration. In particular, when you change the settings in Regenerate Small Object, the effect is the following:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Less to More Detailed</div>
<p class="para_division"> When you select a more detailed option than the previous setting, the system does not automatically update. For example, if the model is currenlty rendered &quot; As Boxes&quot;, and you select &quot;Full Detail&quot;, the model does not update. This includes when an object is no longer &quot;small&quot; because of a view scale change, model update, or small object size slider change. Likewise, when you move the Small Object slider, the most you initially see is boxes for objects that are no longer specified as &quot;small.&quot; In the case of a model update, this generally starts a regeneration so the effect will be noticed.</p>
      <div class="title_division">More to Less Detailed</div>
<p class="para_division"> When you change a representation from a more detailed setting to less, the effect is immediate. For example, if the model is currently rendered &quot; As Boxes&quot;, and you select &quot;Invisible&quot;, the model updates immediately.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Reason for Design</div>
<p class="para_division"> This feature was designed to prevent you from waiting for the display to update when you change an option. When you use the box representation, the system updates quickly. However, displaying a fully detailed representation, especially of smaller objects, would take a significant amount of time.</p>
      <div class="title_division">To Force Regeneration</div>
<p class="para_division"> To force the display to update objects after you modify the settings on the regeneration page:</p>
