            <p class="para_item">Sketching features on the faces of the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('roadmap/05qt_parts_21.html');return(false);">Datum CSYS</a> or other associative geometry will create associative features. All <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('roadmap/05qt_parts_20.html');return(false);">features</a> should be positioned using associative techniques.
            </p>

            <p class="para_item">Sketch on the most stable geometry available. Sketch on a datum instead of sketching on a face if possible. This will make it easier to replace or delete the feature which created the face.</p>

            <p class="para_item">In I-deas, non-associative techniques are allowed, such as joining features with Feature Relations turned off. NX will also allow some non-associative techniques that as an experienced CAD user you should avoid.</p>
