      <p class="para_topic">Smooth Edges allows you to control whether edges shared by tangent faces display or not. This option toggles between ON (visible) and OFF (invisible).</p>

      <p class="para_topic">The Smooth Edges option also includes option menus to let you control the color, font and line width of smooth edges.</p>

               <p class="para_td">You can set the color attribute for visible smooth edges by clicking the Color option menu and choosing from one of the colors in the color palette. Choose the value &quot;Original&quot; and revert the smooth edge display color back to the color of the solid body initial specification.</p>

      <p class="para_division">Choosing the value &quot;Original&quot; and revert the smooth edge display width back to the width of the solid body initial specification.</p>
      <p class="para_division">When an edge is both hidden and smooth, the Hidden Edge display options will merge with and take precedence over the Smooth Edges display options. For example, if Smooth Edges are set to blue color, phantom font, and Hidden Edges are set to dash the smooth edges that are hidden will be displayed in the color blue and dashed font. Smooth edges that are not hidden will be displayed with blue color and phantom font.</p>
      <p class="para_division">NX saves the Smooth Edges settings of each view in the part file. When you create a new part, the system initializes the Smooth Edges settings of each new view according to customer defaults. </p>
