      </table><br><p class="para_topic"> If you are affected by color blindness to any degree, you may want to use the Override feature. While working on a part, you can temporarily override the existing color palette with a custom palette that allows you to better differentiate colors. This affects the display only.</p>
      <p class="para_topic">To implement the Override feature:</p>
      <div class="title_division">1 Set Up a Custom CDF File</div>
      <p class="para_division">First, set up a custom CDF file that better meets your visual needs. NX provides standard CDF files with predefined colors for the color blind.</p>
      <div class="title_division">2 Select Your Custom CDF File</div>
      <p class="para_division">While working on a part, select your custom CDF file:</p>
      <div class="title_division">Environment Variable</div>
      <p class="para_division">NX provides an environment variable, UGII_OVERRIDE_CDF, that allows you to temporarily override the existing color palette with your own CDF file. This variable must point to a valid Color Definition File (CDF) that contains 216 defined colors. When you select the Override feature, these colors override the existing colors stored within the new or existing part with respect to display only.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Saving a Part When Override is On</div>
      <p class="para_division">When you save a part using the Override feature, NX always saves the part with the colors as specified by the existing part. It never saves the part with a custom CDF used with the Override feature.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Modifying the Part's Color Palette When Using the Override Feature</div>
      <p class="para_division">When using the Color Blindness Override Feature, you do not have access to the part's actual color palette. If you attempt to modify colors using the color palette page, it will modify the overriding CDF (your color blindness colors), not the actual part's CDF. If you attempt to use the color palette page to make modifications when the Override feature is on, the system will warn you of this fact by displaying an error message.</p>
