      </table><br><p class="para_topic">When you drag a Knowledge Enabled (KE) part family or template into the graphics window, the software fills in the options in the <b class="uiTerm">Add Reusable Component</b> dialog box according to the definitions in the KRX file. You can click <b class="uiTerm">OK</b> to accept these defaults and add the part to your assembly, or you can make adjustments as shown below. You can also make adjustments after you add the part by right-clicking the part and choosing <b class="uiTerm">Edit Reusable Component</b>.

            <p class="para_item">Drag a KE part from the <b class="uiTerm">Member Select</b> area of the <b class="uiTerm">Reuse Library</b> to the graphics window, or, with the part selected in the graphics window or <b class="uiTerm">Assembly Navigator</b>, right-click and choose <b class="uiTerm">Edit Reusable Component</b>.

                        <p class="para_note_body"> Only the parameters defined as <b class="uiTerm">Primary Parameters</b> in the KRX file are displayed in the <b class="uiTerm">Add</b> or<b class="uiTerm"> Edit Reusable Component</b>dialog box. Default values are based on the part you selected from the <b class="uiTerm">Reuse Library</b>.

            <p class="para_item">In the <b class="uiTerm">Placement</b> group, choose the positioning. When you drop a KE part on a face in the graphics window, the software places it at the nearest position of that face.

                        <p class="para_example_body">On a cylindrical face, the software positions the KE part at the intersection between the axis of the cylindrical face and the adjacent face to the cylindrical face.</p>

                  <p class="para_note_body">In native NX, the software puts all the part family members you generate through the <b class="uiTerm">Add Reusable Component</b> dialog box into the directory specified in the Part Name Definition page of the <a class="links" href="javascript:void(0)" onclick="top.openFile('shared_func/com_tools_reuse_settings.html');return(false);">Customer Defaults </a>dialog box. <br>In Teamcenter, the <b class="uiTerm">Reuse Library</b> and <b class="uiTerm">Add Reusable Component </b>dialog box require Teamcenter 2005 SR1 version or higher.  If the Teamcenter version is prior to Teamcenter 2007, you must define a custom dataset type for the KRX file.  Refer to the <b class="uiTerm">NX Machine Library</b> installation notes for adding the KRX dataset type.
