      <p class="para_topic">Import manufacturing data (tools and operations) into the current part. The imported part is the inactive part from which the objects will be imported into the current part. If you leave the Import CAM Objects toggle OFF, then no manufacturing data is imported.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Duplicates</div>
      <p class="para_division">Operations and tools in the imported and current parts are considered duplicate if they have the same names. Tools are considered identical only if their names, tool type, and tool parameters are exactly the same. Identical tools are not imported.</p>
      <p class="para_division">Duplicate manufacturing object names are listed based on object type. A list of duplicate tool names and a list of duplicate operation names are displayed.</p>
      <div class="title_division">Rules for Importing CAM Objects</div>
      <p class="para_division">The following rules apply to imported manufacturing objects:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Internal tool path objects will not be imported into the current part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If there is a Metric/English conflict during the part import function, the system will auto-scale the data in the imported part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">All of the associated geometry of an operation is imported.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The existing scale option of the Part Import dialog is applied only to the geometry of the imported operation.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Identical tools are not imported into the current part since they already exist. Imported operations that reference an identical tool will reference the identical tool in the current part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">For tools that are imported into the current part, the links between these tools and the imported parameter sets remain unchanged. However, the links between the imported identical tools and imported parameter sets no longer remain in the current part since identical tools are not imported into the part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">The order of operation will not be imported into the current part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">If the reference orientation of the imported part is different from the destination orientation, the following machining parameters of the operations are automatically transformed but are not scaled: the machining coordinate system, the reference coordinate system, and all parameters that need to be mapped when the reference coordinate system changes.</p>
         </li>
      </ul>

      <div class="title_division">Layer Mode</div>
      <p class="para_division">Specifies the layers on which the imported part will be placed. You can choose between:</p>

               <p class="para_td">Original Layers</p>

            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td">The system maintains the /object/entity/layer relationship in the part being imported when merging into the work part. For example, the system will place an object on layer 6 in the part being imported on layer 6 of the work part, regardless of the current work layer status.</p>
            </td>
         </tr>
      </table><br><div class="title_division">Destination Coordinate System</div>
      <p class="para_division">Allows you to choose whether to import the part in the orientation of the WCS, or in an orientation other than the WCS.</p>

               <p class="para_td">The CSYS Constructor displays allowing you to specify the destination coordinate system of the imported part.</p>
            </td>
         </tr>
      </table><br><div class="title_division">When a Position Must be Matched Exactly</div>
      <p class="para_division">In some applications, it is very important for the part that is being imported to maintain its exact position in absolute coordinates in order to be merged in the proper position, such as in a ship's rigged position. A way to ensure this is to perform the following procedure:</p>
      <ul>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Make sure that the part you want to import is filed with the WCS set to the absolute coordinate system. If not, change the WCS and refile the part.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">Before importing the part, set the Destination Coordinate System to CSYS Menu.</p>
         </li>
         <li>
            <p class="para_item">During the import, select the Absolute Coordinate System option from the CSYS menu dialog for the destination orientation, and enter the absolute coordinates (0,0,0) as the destination origin. </p>
         </li>
      </ul>
      <div class="title_division">Parts List Option Menu</div>
      <p class="para_division">The parts list option menu allows you to set the parameters for importing parts list data:</p>

               <p class="para_td">Import Parts List Format</p>
            </td>
            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td">When you want the system to copy the parts list format data from the part to be imported to the parts list for the current work part. Format data includes field definitions, fit rules, sort mode, ID symbol update mode, header mode, callout generation mode, box mode, protection rules, and line space factors.</p>
            </td>
         </tr>

               <p class="para_td">Import All Parts List Data</p>

            <td bgcolor="#f4f4f4" colspan="1" rowspan="1" valign="top">
               <p class="para_td">When you want all format data, plus all objects that were members of the imported parts list to become parts list members in the current part. The system also retrieves all parts list entries with this option. If no parts list note currently exists, then the imported parts list note becomes the parts list note for the work part.</p>
            </td>
         </tr>

                  <p class="para_note_body"> When importing solid parts, including parts with only freeform surfaces, scales other than 1.0 are not allowed. If you enter a scale other than 1.0, it is automatically set to 1.0. This also means that no automatic scaling is done when importing a part with different units than the work part. </p>
